Is there something wrong with my phone? I had just realized that my Safari search results look different ever since I had updated to ios 11.3.1 and I was wondering if anybody else who has updated to this ios is experiencing similar things. Also my phone has been acting up ever since I dropped it and shattered the corner of the phone, physical things though, like flickering screens and endless restarting loops which I have researched to be a common problem. But that is more than likely attributed to the fact I dropped it I'm guessing as these things never happened prior to me dropping it. I've just been paranoid lately especially with videos of signs your phones been hacked and what not, but yes, is anybody else experiencing this? I have an iPhone 7.
I think what you accidentally did was you held down the refresh button, then clicked request desktop site. I may be wrong tho idk
Spoiler: mobile version Spoiler: desktop version My guess is is that safari had a makeover in iOS 11. I don't use an iPhone so I'm not 100% sure but I would assume the desktop situation would be very similar to what I've shown above. Maybe try what pickkle said; else try the settings. If nothing else, you could always download a different browser. Edit: ignore my search. I wanted a new wallpaper shh
Safari search results look different only because of ios 11.3.1 update, don't be afraid. But other stuff is due to incorrect handling of the device: your phone fell down or maybe got into liquid or dirt. I know this problem because I've dealt with it on my iPad (few month before). I'm a student, I use my device only to do my assignment, essays, and other tasks. I thought, don't need to buy a new one after it fallen down and broken a little bit, also I thought the repair might be too expensive for me, so I decided not to pay attention at all. So what do you think? After a while, my iPad stopped working at all!!! So don't waste time and ask professionals for help.
I found out much later it was a problem due to the update turning off the JavaScript. After turning it back on it returned to normal display; however, I grow tired of the constant annoyance and problems I've had with apple products and have since transferred to android.
Yeah, Apple has been recently making really poor updates (especially iOS 11, honestly the worst updates in a long time) as of late, so I don't blame you for switching. I hope iOS 12 makes things better (regarding performance) as it's set to be announced June 4th :)
