I'll put some artists under each genre and my favourite song(s) by them in that genre currently, in parenthesis. Rap/RnB/Hip Hop Artists: J. Cole (Crooked Smile or Wet Dreamz) Blackbear (spent all my money on rick owen's cargo pants and rly real) Rihanna (Wild Thoughts or Needed Me) Travis Scott (Goosebumps) Lil Wayne (6 Foot 7 Foot) Jeremih (oui) Daniel Caesar (Get You) Kendrick Lamar (Loyalty) Russ (Aint Nobody Takin My Baby or Me You) Bow Wow (Like You) Tinashe (Bated Breath or Bet) Kehlani (Distraction or Get Away) Bryson Tiller (Don't) Tory Lanez (Say It) Kanye West (All Of The Lights or Gold Digger) Jazz: I don't really like or listen to Jazz much, but I saw this artist live last year and it interested me so here. Thundercat (Show You The Way) Electronic (or sort of electronic lol): Flume (Like Water or Numb and Getting Colder and 3 and Helix and Never Be Like You- basically the whole fucking Skin album. Good shit.) Flume (Also his old shit aka: Sintra, Star Eyes, and Holdin On) Flume is a god just listen to him Blackbear (Chateau and Make Daddy Proud) Texada (All My Life) Marshmello (Ritual) PON CHO (Frozen and Lonely Walls) ODESZA (Say My Name) Kaiiven (; (Traverse and Roses are the bomb) Galantis (Runaway) DJ Snake (Talk and Middle) Cartoon (Why We Lose and On and On) Hailee Steinfeld (Fragile and Starving) Terror Jr (Come First and pretty much all of the Bop City/Bop City 2 albums) Alternative (I know you said you don't like it but just try it out bro): Lorde (400 Lux and Buzzcut Season and Everybody Wants To Rule The World [which is a cover btw but its so good omg, its sort of a game song too bc I believe it's from Assassin's Creed]) The Neighbourhood (Baby Came Home and Prey and Wiped Out! and Afraid - just all amazing shit. Listen to all their albums if you like them at all.) Tigertown (Bullet From the Gun and Lonely Cities) Arctic Monkeys (Arabella and Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?)
Metal: -Metallica, try Master of Puppets or Justice for All. -Iron Maiden, the album Powerslave. -Slayer, Reign in Blood. Unless you're religious, in which case ignore I ever said this. -Black Sabbath and their self-titled album is worth a listen. -Megadeth, Rust in Peace. -Motörhead, self-titled. -Judas Priest, British Steel. -AC/DC, Back in Black (the album). -Twisted Sister. Oh my god. The band that got me into metal, next to Metallica which both I used to listen to all the time when I was younger. Try Stay Hungry. Rock: -Led Zeppelin, specifically Led Zeppelin IV but Physical Grafitti is also a good album (Kashmir is amazing!). -Radiohead, try OK Computer. -More or less psychedelic rock, but Pink Floyd is great. The Final Cut is an interesting rock album, I'm not really in to that one but lyrically it's pretty good. -Muse, they had a new-ish album called Drones which is a worth a listen. The Resistance is my favourite though! -Guns N' Roses, appetite for destruction. -David Bowie, and listen to the Hunky Dory album. Contains all his best songs and is fairly rock. -George Harrison, go listen to the album All Things Must Pass. -Aerosmith. I couldn't really say their best album as they're all a bit mixed, so just try a Greatest Hits playlist or something. -Queen, obviously. -Bon Jovi, and listen to Slippery When Wet. -Here's a new-ish album also, try Billy Gibbons (the bloke out of ZZ top)'s album Perfectamundo. -The Beatles, Sgt Peppers or White Album. That sounds about right.
