First FL Studio beat

I made my first beat in FL Studio today using some random 808 bass and stock drums and claps from the program. The melody is a bit weird and seems a bit out of place, especially with the 3x oscillator being the instrument but I was mainly focusing on the beat.
Anyway, here it is

Okay over all, Listening to it the bass was over heavy creating a distortion. "clap" could have been used more to give the beat more depth Over all not that bad.

(Listening using Sennheiser 461i closed backs)

 

Yeah I realised that it was distorting and that I could have maybe shifted it up an octave, but I think it would have sound worse.

its good, just get some free trap drum kits online, replace the current samples with the new ones and change the melody to any bell nexus preset, usually hands up works best. its really good for your first beat and not to mention you're using stock sounds/plugins. keep it up :)

 

Thanks! I still need to get the hang of using plugins but mainly the VSTs for audio engineering stuff, so I'll try Nexus.
