Doxer Hacker

There is another forum up about this. I watched a video of a "doxer hacker" The results were cruel. The whole spawn was griefed. All players were IP banned, and they lost many of their mini-games. In the comments of the video people are talking about J&H and how they should dox the network next. Just a fair warning that J&H might get hacked. I'm not saying that we WILL get hacked, but it's a very fair chance.

Again, like said in the other post about this, a server cannot be "dox"ed.

Sure this guy can comprimise accounts but I'm sure not much will happen. Jerry and Harry (I'm sure) have server files and will be able to reload all of that if anything happens.

 

I know for a fact that J&H have files on a backup drive to be able to load everything in, or if the server hosting service has a back up process which most do, they can back up the server to an approximate date so nothing is lost, no one will be unfairly banned, etc. If this person or group can hack into the server hosting and compromise absolutely everything about the server and destroy every type of file including ones that J&H may have put on a USB drive or some kind of External Hard drive, then I'm pretty sure the server wont be effected.. atleast not badly.

Yeah, thats very true. But Either way They may not remember who was banned/unbanned and it would be catastrophic. The forums and server could go down for months.

 

A back up sequence would back up the server to the exact date and time when the server was running normal. Meaning, all players banned before the time it was backed up to would still be banned as their IPs would be in the "ban list" during the back up.

That was a lot of back up words :D

I'm pretty sure J&h has plugins to prevent this, and also a "professional" to say host. It is possible to DDoS the server if the host's DDoS protection is down, but as far as i know J&h has MUCH better protection then MCOrigins.

MCOrigins DDoS protection is equivalent to a toaster. That's pretty much why their ship sank, if you know what I mean.

If they were to try and hack a higher staff account, they would need "little-script-kiddie" brute force.

Most server hosts (Includes OVH) implement backups for when the server was running normally. So either way they aren't going to "not remember who was banned"

Oh really? I didn't see that xD. I just saw his comment and automatically replied to it.

 

I doubt this would ever happen, because the Jerry and Harry would've installed very secure plugins to prevent this from happening.

Or maybe they are just dumb kids who try to act cool and protend they can actually hack.
