DISCLAIMER: This applies mainly to Creative servers and the Forums, but this could be applied to any server that you have seen that has encountered this problem, such as Skyblock, Survival, Factions or Farm King.

I wanted to explain to everyone how everyone is breaking the rules, well, most of us our breaking the rules without even realizing it. If these don't apply to you, then, congratulations, but I still advise you look at the detailed rules.

To start off, i'll be covering this part of the rules.

As you can see, spam is often used when advertising (which is not really covered in the rules) roleplays, skin competitions, or any form of attempting to get players to teleport to another player.

Using things like "(!) ---> L()()K" is clearly not allowed, which is displayed in red, bolded text. I see multiple players, on a daily basis using these kinds of illegal methods to get people to teleport.

Also in that screenshot, is (caps protection). Obviously, if you're trying to bypass the caps limit in your chat message, that's not allowed. There is a limit to your caps for a reason, and a personal suggestion would be to remove anything that has to do with adding lowercase letters increasing the amount of capital letters you can use. This would create less problems in my opinion.

Here we have the forum rules, which I know, I see some shocking things on here too. The most reasonable and obvious thing on here would be the using colors that are too bright (using colors that are too bright). But by oversized, I feel as if an example would be nice? I personally don't see much wrong with using bigger letters (such as 5) with your reply, but it's understandable if you're using a bigger font size than usual.

Now this is my favorite part of the forum rules.

    Screen Shot 2017-05-22 at 20.54.30.png

I am seeing far too many people double posting on the forums, and even triple posting. I think this needs to be more emphasised, rather than somewhere in the detailed rules. A way to enforce the rule would be to not allow a user to post twice on a message (which I am unsure if this is possible, but I hope it will in the future).

That's all I will cover, for now.

Spam: It happens a lot but it's not something that's killer, you know. If you just see it happening send one of us a screenshot and we'll politely talk to them about it, especially since (from my experiences) most of the players who do stuff like "L()()K!!!" don't even know that's against the rules.

Caps protection: Similar thing. Refer to above.

Text color on forums: I don't really think we've been having any major issues with this, but of course, it can still be talked about with the player doing the minor offense. As to over-sized, we haven't really had a big problem with that as stated above.

Double posting: I agree mostly with what you've said. It's definitely more common than the others, got to say that. But, as said dozens and dozens of times (by all the staff members), go ahead and report the player if it happens. Nothing really more you can do, I suppose.

Because they can't most likely, so they punish for it instead.

All of us have broken a rule without knowing, that's why we learn from are mistakes and agree to not do it again.

Then the title should be "How everyone has broke a rule in the past" (which isn't really the most surprising fact of the day lol). The thread implies that most of the people spam, double post and do silly things like that all the time, even though it's obvious that most people don't. Not only that, but double posts are usually merged by staff very quickly so you almost never see them. Idk about spamming.

Are spamming Minecraft chats and double posting on the forums really that big of a deal though? Are these the kind of mistakes we learn from? Surely, this is a bit over exaggerated :P

When I break the rules, I already know I'm breaking them. It's a bonus of making sure I know all of the rules when I'm playing on a server.

If using colours that are too bright is a punishable offence, why is there an option to use them in the first place?

I can understand why admins might need bigger fonts but I don't think admins need to actually use bright colours.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe there is any reason to have bright colours.
Mind you I'm not an Xenforo expert but I don't think bright colours are needed.

I do not really understand why you dedicated a thread to point this out. If this really is such a big problem then would it not be better to address it to higher ups, or debate it with other staff members? Perhaps that a debate could conclude an efficient solution rather than a thread that few gets to see.

It’s a helpful guide that I made to be respectful. The way you made your post was aggressive. I volunteered to make this thread.
