ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. On this day (25th April), in 1915, both Australian and New Zealand forces landed in Gallipoli to fight in WW1. To celebrate their bravery and sacrifice, we march and attend ceremonies on the 25th April every year. Of course, it's optional. All students have the day off school and the majority of workers are not to attend work as it is a public holiday. As always, I'm sure maccas is still open. We have many memorial sites across Australia where we can create wreaths and place them amongst flowers where designated. If you want to know more about this day, you can easily Google. I thought I'd do my part and summarise this special day that we celebrate You don't have to be an Australian or New Zealander to join in the events. Now, I'm off to go to my local RSL with my dad as he wears his military medals. I hope everyone has a good and SAFE day.
Happy ANZAC day (eventhough I'm not an Aussie) Back then, the Australian army had a little conflict with the Indonesian army regarding Pancasila. I hope they've cooled down, and there'll be no more conflict.
