Hello all, so today I wanna talk a little about my sister. Back in Hawaii (Don't remember exact year) my sister had her first seizure. It was at a little street party, with games and smores. Her first seizure, she ended up hitting her head on the curb of the sidewalk. She was rushed to the hospital and everything turned out find. But ever since then, she's been having seizures normally. I'd say once a month. She just had one at the time I'm typing this out. It's 5:30am. Whenever she does have a seizure it makes me really scard. This time she was screaming and that got my attention but I also kinda thought it was in my dream (Which can make it scary). Thankfully my mother got to my sister before I knew it wasn't a dream. It makes me sad to think that we don't know what we'll do if she has a seizure at collage (btw she's 17 almost 18). She found a good roommate that understands she does have seizures so that's good. But if I thought it was a dream, then that could happen to her roommate too. Now I apologize if I am ever oddly "rude" to people, this may be the cause. If I'm slacking and not handling/talking with people that potentially need my assistance, then please forgive me. I would kindly ask for everyone who made it this far in the thread to pray for my sister. And hope that "ALL" she does have is seizures and not something worse. Thanks you all, and God Bless ~Ryan/TheFlamingDragon/Draiger
Dragon, Reading this was hard, so I can't imagine how it would've felt typing this. I am so sorry to hear about the issue with your sister. I've never gone through a situation like this, but I know it's tough. It physically and emotionally hurts us, because no one wants to see a loved one going through pain. Do not be sorry for being a-bit slacked off today, or being maybe oddly rude, because we know you are going through a tough time, so we understand, and we hope you know that the whole IJAH community is here for you, and is always here for you. Sending my prayers to you and your family Dragon. I am so sorry with what you're going through, I can only imagine how it must feel like. Always here for you! If you ever need to talk to anyone, you know where we are x
Hmm.. If she has seizures a lot, there might be a chance she has Epilepsy like me. I mean I only had one seizure in my life. Take her to the hospital to see if she does have Epilepsy and what kind it is. They should give you medicine to help her stop getting seizures one a month. :)
^^^ My friend's sister has medication for epilepsy too. Medicine is getting better so hopefully one day we will have a better solution to epilepsy, however I hope for the best for your situation.
My sister does have Epilepsy. I going to take a guess that her first seizure was like 2014 or 2015. So it's been awhile. She does have her medicine, she took it last night, unfortunately it didn't really work. Thanks for all your prayers, I'm going to show this thread to my sister and hopefully it'll make her feel better. <3
Keep her away from really vivid lights and fast changing images and shit that will literally kill her, oh and jump scares Stay strong sista
Tell your sister I said feel better, All I can say is stay strong and push forward. I know it's tough for you and your sister (and family in general). :)
