Braces Advice

Hey everyone shaun here, I got braces today and it hurts SO MUCH! I tried putting wax in but it was super annoying to get out so I just gave up. Now it's cutting against my mouth though, any advice from anyone?

 

i know wax is really annoying, but it will be your best friend if your braces are cutting your mouth. if its annoying to get out, i would use those brushy picks that the ortho gives you (i dont know it's actual name) and use that to get it out.

 

The pain will be over in about a week, it always hurts when you put them on...

 

My dentist was like "you need them" then I was like "nah". She kept telling for a week but I ignored her. Happy I did really

 

I recently got braces myself, and I have to say I've been pretty lucky, experiencing little to no pain most days. However, I do quite a bit of canker sores (cold sores, whatever) and the braces have been contributing to that. If the braces are cutting your mouth, the wax is the best solution. It's annoying at first, but you get used to it very quickly.

Nah they already put this stuff like play doh to get a mold and I almost barfed

 

its ok i have braces and it only really hurts for like 3 days, you'll be fine bud.

 

Here's some advice from someone who's had braces and is probably getting them off next month. The braces shouldn't be cutting your mouth, really. If it's getting too annoying go back to the orthodontist and have them fix the wire or whatever that's cutting your mouth. Wax is only supposed to be a temporary solution.

As for the pain, when you first get the braces on its the worst. After that, it hurts less and less. I remember when I first got them on, I barely ate because it hurt so bad. Brush your teeth too. No one wants white marks on their teeth. Hope this helps :)
