I agree with this guy, though he seems a bit too radical to fully parralel my thoughts. I don't have a problem with people feeling like they were born in the wrong body, but what does annoy me very much are all of the terms that have to be used in order to properly address someone who has a different sexual preference.

In my opinion it is insane that there are complete guidelines stating what is right and what is wrong when addressing a transgender for example. Like, I could get 3 comments about me using transgender instead of trans people or whatever is right, but truth is that I simply don't care anymore. There are so many rules attached that I just don't know what to do anymore.

So, long story short; it's okay for me if you feel different and act different, but I am personally not adjusting my way of addressing you because of it.

 

If the saying of "$.02 in, $.2 out" is consistent, then I should get $200 from the $20 I'm putting in. Also, if my rhetoric somehow offends you, just suck it up and move on. One or two words shouldn't blind you from a larger message, and not seeing the whole post over a few "delicate" words shows how thin your personality is.

Ok, I think this guy is wrong. Danny is wrong. And I'm not saying he's not wrong in a sense that boys shouldn't be allowed in a girl's bathroom and vice versa, but he's wrong about the idea of Transgenders, and is so ill-informed that it's close to cringy.

Now, it wasn't Pres. Obama alone that told schools to get in line with the Trans bathrooms, but the DoE aswell, following the FBI's claim of title 7 in the civil rights act(against N.C.). The Feds have every right to make a claim about a state infringing on federal law, and to defund any state or organization that are breaking federal law. It's not "blackmail", It's a checks and balances process. The feds have the right to defund states if they break interstate law, and states have the right to make and remove amendments in a voting process. States influence federal law, FBI and government keeps federal laws in check.

Time to continue with the whole Transgend "situation". I put 'situation' in quotes to put it out there that this isn't really a situation, but many people make it out to be one. First off, I am no trans expert, so don't barrage me with questions on them like I had to study them for am exam; but, from what I can tell, people just don't wake up and say that they are a boy/girl out of the blue. That's retarded, ingenuine, and worthless. Every encounter with a Transgender I've had(which is quite a few, tbh), they've had friends and family support them continuously, and back them up. They aren't perverts or predators, they don't go into bathrooms to loiter around and snap pics, they go in, flush, and get out. Simple 1-2-3.

I also snickered at the irony when Danny said that his little girl deserves "privacy", while pointing at a public restroom. I mean, c'mon man, your girl is gonna get as much privacy in a public restroom with other cis girls as she is with trans girls. If she really wants to be alone and "private" when using the toilet, she can use a private bathroom, like the ones in your home, or one of those "family" bathrooms.

Overall, people like this need to wake up to the idea of change, and how unavoidable it is. This isn't The Elder Scrolls, we aren't going to be using the same traditions and weaponry as we did hundreds of years ago. We change, we refresh, we create, and sticking to a mentality that rejects that makes you look dumber than dirt, if I'm honest.

I can see why some parents think it unfit for their children to see body parts of the other sex, but there is such thing as a bathroom stall and there's literally many in almost every public bathroom. If privacy is something he wants somewhere public, then he isn't going to get it. You can't always tell if someone is trans and if they are, then they should be able to do their business in whichever restroom they feel comfortable using.
Plus, there aren't any urinals in female bathrooms. So, what is he so worried about? How is privacy being invaded if all people see of each other is the mirrors and washing hands. For men's restrooms, there are also stalls. I can tell you for sure that if a trans person was uncomfortable seeing men's body parts, they wouldn't go into the men's restroom in the first place. And the other way around, if a trans person was comfortable with seeing those things and went into a men's restroom, they wouldn't even be able to use the urinal. They'd use the stall, wash their hands and leave. Then, nobody's privacy would be invaded and then nothing would really change.

 

I'm just curious why it took some people to be transphobic to truly be aware and actively against sexual assault.

However, I do agree with some of what he's saying. Also I'm not calling him transphobic. I'm a big support of the lgbq+ community, but I would also be nervous if the opposite sex came into my bathroom, but that's just how the world sees things. Tragity in everything. He kinda lost me at the part when he said he had to teach his daughter the "truth," but that's his truth and he seems like he wants to force his truth onto his daughter.

Basically: I agree until the "teaching" part. Identify as whatever you want and look super cute doing it and don't make people uncomfortable. Do whatever seems safe for yourself and think about yourself in these matters. Thinking about yourself for once isn't selfish.

Just gonna post this video because I'm literally asked about this topic of trans people using the restroom everyday. It's so annoying. Cis people shouldn't be dictating/trying to describe trans experiences because they aren't trans.
(Trans ppl are evil, I know. Yes I understand the video is satirical but it's so true.)
People using the restroom which is a basic human necessity isn't political issue.

 

This is a big issue and I agree it needs to be solved but honestly there are so many bigger issues around the world than this.
Have you seen what's going on in the Middle East?
Or that Climate Change is getting worse?
I'm not going to share my opinion on this video/topic though.

 

I honestly couldn't care less about your "private parts".Now, when it's half and half boys and girls, there's a problem. However, there will be less than 10 at a school on average that are transgender. As long people who are not convinced offenders or potential ones, I'm perfectly fine. As long as you have a curtain or some sort of blocker, I'm fine with you taking a shower or going to the restroom next to me.

 

My thoughts an opinions on this is I don't care lol Either use whatever bathroom you want or don't this is not a big problem yup people in the world like WHAT BATHROOM DO WE USE Kids in Africa decide how much food they can eat in a day. This I declare in my opinion a first world problem

Disagree, This guy needs to calm down. People just want to piss and shit. And no BOY is going into the girls restroom. If a trans person was born as a male but wants to be a girl.. then they are a girl? right? not that confusing

also this is not about the bathrooms. people are just using the bathrooms as an excuse instead of out right saying they are transphobic as hell.

Also it wasn't about the fountains before and it sure ain't about the bathrooms now... :|

 

One thing I don't understand is why, if I say I am black (even though I am white) people will call me crazy. Yet if I do do the same thing with gender and suddenly I'm brave. Like the president of the NAACP got a ton of shit for that, she was a white women who claimed to be black and when people found out she was born white it was a huge deal and people were saying she was insane. Yet in the same year Bruce Jenner announces he is a female and become Caitlyn and wins an award for being courageous and brave. Now I'm not saying transgenders are bad/good or that transracial is bad/good. All I am saying is that in todays society we have so many double standards and some times it makes me enraged.

The connotation we have put on this word is really sad and degrading especially as it is direct towards people who are compleatly helpless and cant defend themselves what so ever. Before we start trying to fix this bathroom issue we need to fix the simpler but bigger problems like this.

The thing that pisses me off the most about this, is that what if since this law has passed, what if some creep dresses like a girl to go into the girls bathroom or locker room to watch girls get undressed or shower or whatever. That's what enrages me the most. If there was a trans bathroom or locker room, there wouldn't be any of these predators going into the girls bathroom. This shouldn't even be a topic. We were fine before Obama made this stupid ass law. Like seriously this violates the privacy of women. Danny has a very, very valid point.
This just pisses me off to an extent that is off the damn charts.

Here in nj target has passed the law in their store that trans people are aloud into what ever bathroom they feel called into. Well, 3 days ago, there was a news report, that a guy dressed up as a girl, went into the girls bathroom (BECAUSE HE WAS ALOUD TO), and watched a young girl who was Using the bathroom. The store wasn't busy at the moment so no one other than the guy and the girl were in the bathroom while the little girl's mom was out in the parking lot. He then proceeded to rape her. This is honestly stupid and that poor girl had her innocence taken away from her because OF THIS DUMB ASS LAW.
