    Hello everybody,

Due to a high wave of dislike of the ''new'' English only rule, and for the fact that enforcing such rule is a lot of work and time consuming, we have decided to abolish it.

Some people agreed with it, others disagreed, but we honestly believe that it is better if more people are happy with something and not the other way around. So yes, upon discussing the topic, the server, allows Multilingual chat everywhere.

Although, the forums should be kept English in threads of discussion, announcements and whatnot. Things like statuses are obviously free of being written in other languages, and we will not punish people for doing so.

As for the people that got punished in either the form of bans or mutes, our sincere apologies for how you got treated, but don't take our actions as a form of discrimination or exclusion, you have to see it from our point of view and see that, we never faced upon such high wave of multiple languages being spoken at the same time, which caused some chaos in servers like Skyblock. We hope you understand why we acted as so, and that it was the only effective way to control this, as approaching everybody individually would simply not be possible, and regular announcements would not be read by those that do not speak English.

Although, do not think of this as a ''surrender'' from the staff team, but more as a step forward in terms of equality for everybody here, that is our top priority here and always was, to be able to give our community with the best content and entertainment they can have within our expertise and limits.

Without further ado, thank you all and have a great day.

About time this came out! Great decision staff! With all the non-English speakers, this was bound to happen at some point anyway :).

Thank you Staff team for this decision. Doe the annoying thing is that people can just swear in other languages while people don't understand it. lol
    But still, thanks.

I agree on this. Public chats are meant to be public, and that means anyone.

Although, it would be nice to have group chats (like helper/mod one) available for few most commonly used languages.
    For example, English, German, Russian.
Multilingual public chats and other content is a great thing, but might, and probably will, result in some sort of spam. It would be nice to have an option to join chatrooms where only one language would be spoken.

    I respectfully disagree.

I like where you're coming from with the whole "equality" thing, but it gets a bit spammy when there's languages that aren't English.

Putting in chat channels would be a good idea. You could type "/channel espanol" or "/channel portugues" or "/channel francais" and you can speak to people who speak your language.

The truth is, the majority of people here speak English. I liked the "only English in public chat" rule. Most people aren't going to speak Turkish or whatever, so if people want to talk to their Turkish friends, they should have to do it in their own channel.

It's not "racism" or "oppression" to not let them speak in public chat, it's just convenient for the rest of us to be able to understand what people are saying.

I am so glad that you got rid of this rule. I'm sorry if I seemed mad about it being put into place, but I just thought that it discriminated against players and I didn't really like that. I am glad that it is now abolished and maybe we can now get more players and more diversity on the server.

Thanks again because not having this rule really does move the server forward into more diversity and more players.
Plus, it was kind of unfair to other players that couldn't speak or read English to understand that they would be getting in trouble for speaking in their native language.

Also, I have a question. Do the warns/bans on the players who did speak in other languages when this rule was still in place still stay there or can players make a ban appeal to get the warnings taken off? I think it would be fair to remove the warnings and ban time of players who committed this offence because it now is okay to talk in other languages.
