Intel Xeon 1230 v3 (some people don't want to OC you know ;) (and if I ever do I'll just jack up BCLK to gimme 3.6Ghz to have equal speeds to 4790) MSI GTX 970 8GB RAM (will be upgraded to 16GB soon) Stock cooler for now, thinking of going TC12DX (yes 212 is almost as good but it doesn't hurt to have a better looking rig :D) Z87-GD65 (was going to go B85 (I know how OCing works) but it was out of stock and this was on sale for just £10 more :D) RM750 (probably could've gone 650 but less stressed PSU doesn't hurt :D) 120GB 840 EVO + 1TB Caviar Blue (will also get 2-3TB Green later if for some inexplicable reason I need that much space). TP-Link N900 network card (getting 5Ghz router so needed something to to take advantage of it :p). All put together in a white Enthoo Pro with Windows 7 Enterprise installed :). Tl;dr yes mine is better (or soon will be)
Just FYI: The only computers that can pull 128GB of RAM off are server-class motherboards with at least dual E5-class Xeons (since E3-class don't support multi-proc motherboards) @Spikegold: *cries* Whyyyyy do you have a Xeon. Whyyyyyyyy. Also: NEVER EVER EVERRRRR get a Blue or Green Caviar. EVERRRRRR.
Simple. Don't wanna OC :3 if I do, I can still play around with BCLK. Plus, Blues and Greens are perfectly fine. Blacks are overkill. Money would be better spent on an SSD like I did :)
Greens are only for use in... Well, they've actually lost their use, replaced by Red and Purple. And blues have a VERY high failure rate. To the point where I do NOT recommend it. I can't tell you how many blues (and greens) I've seen go through RMA. Blacks last and are worth the extra money. (Plus it's a 5-year warranty vs. a 3-year)
Eh, right now, I'm not technically working for anyone (but myself) But I make a lot of different things... Server plugins, websites, web applications, desktop applications, phone applications, etc.
