Um select snapshots in launcher and play 1.8 Why so excited? All 1.8 and other updates means for players.

-Fix bugs and add new ones-
-Break all the mods again you installed-
    -Headache for mod devs-
-Ppl complaining the server is outdated-
-Ppl screaming for new optifine/forge version-

Mojang needs to calm down a bit with their update circle. For now I decided to abadon forge and use liteloader as it's updating faster then forge.

    I don't use mods :P
    I don't develop mods
They are going to fix the bugs pretty fast
People can down-grade to lower MC versions if they want to play on the server
    I don't use forge/ optifine

I played the prerelease, and while no optifine gets me around 40 fps I got 200.
    This update is sweet!

What the actual... MUST PLAY NOW.

And also, I think Mojang now has a fix for X-Ray hacks (for now)

    Exactly.

I test it on my Windows Vista (Which sucks I wish I got a Windows 7 or 8) and I got 50 fps at highest and 21 fps at the lowest

Did you have artefacts? For me it gave tons of flickers. And I really tried to fix it. Turned off AF, AA global and whatnot. My current fps is usual around 400 in a singleplayer world with gpu on energysaving settings. With cranking everything up I recieved 45fps. That doesn't sound right. I mean whut I'm on a 1,2k gaming pc, 45fps. Kidding right?

Also what's this new vbo in videosettings? Multicore threading? Can't figure it out

    11fps :(

Edit: Nvm. Disabling crossfire fixed it :/

I honestly have no idea what VBO is... and I really don't know how I'm getting ~200FPS on a laptop when you're getting 11-45 on a gaming PC. Weird. Nothing flickers for me though...

It was the amd crossfire what caused it. Mc 1.8 can't adress dual gpu so it used the onboard chipset from intel. Just figured it out. With single gpu it runs fine. Seems they changed the load on the cpu to render chunks onto the gpu. I see a lot of people will have fps benefits from this.

Did it. There are rumors on a pre 2. Maybe they fix it till then. Or it's just amd again who can't pull out proper drivers. They almost killed my card by suggesting a vbios which caused my R9 280x to overheat vrm's. Bad amd. Desperate to go back to nvidia.
