The Corruption of a Server: Part 1

Essentials 3.0.1 was released. It secretly had the normal essentials stuff, and a corrupt file started multiplying in many popular servers. Jerry and Harry installed it, as well as almost any server owner wouldn't expect. It was the first day, so nobody knew about the secret virus. Here's my story of what happened in this dark server time.

It was August 15th. and nobody wanted to go to school. 5 days before school started, Jerry noticed a corruption file. Though he had announced it on the forums, in these times only 10 people went on the forums, and 8 of them were staff. The other 2 were bots, because the forum was only in development.

darkster15: can i have op? I'm from planetminecraft and your server is going to be showcased this saturday.
The chat has now been muted.
[Owner]ItsJerry: Guys, there's a serious problem.
[Owner]ItsHarry: Yes, we muted the chat so nobody would spam our comings
[Owner]ItsJerry: We have a corrupt file. If you guys spam, then the game will start corrupting. Please don't spam at any costs.
The chat has no longer been muted.
[VIP]Flailwarrior: Ok, we won't spam. I promise
[Admin]Saul1337: If anybody spams, this server could plunge into chaos!
Shockflash14: Ok, I don't want to lose this server so I won't spam xD

[Cool]zOrkHater: Yeah, I just started a skyblock island and the tree is a mushroom and the grass is mycelium.
Meanwhile, corrupt clouds are flashing rainbows which is really bad for people's eyesight.(nobody cares) More importantly, many people are being unbanned for no reason. The person who hacked JH a year ago is back....
CometHacker: Remember me?
Shockflash14: you gotta be kidding me

On the next day, 2000 of the 2050 members were banned because CometHacker added the plugin AdminFun(this is a cool plugin, but in this case its a bad reason) It said in chat:

[Owner]ItsJerry: Guys, we are making a video in creative2! If you want to join us!
1845 members went to the creative portal, leaving 50 members left:
5 people:
CrazyIcicle,Shockflash14,zOrkHater,EliteShadowMiner, and CometHacker were in the lobby. Besides CometHacker, everybody of the 5 members were afk. The other 45 were in creative, but not banned. They were trapped in the creative lobby. All the staff were automatically banned(including helpers).

CometHacker: shut up or I'll hack your MC account.

*Bam*
All the blocks were replaced with ebony blocks.
[VIP]EliteShadowMiner: Guys, what should we do?
The chat was now silenced.

Also, it was in &k so nobody could decode it, and made the chat really lag. We gladly knew each other, so we dashed to our xat system. In the chat system, we talked (no ranks in this one)
CrazyIcicle: What should we do
zOrkHater: lets go grab a pizza and party!
CrazyIcicle: I'm serious
zOrkHater: lets go grab a pizza and have a SERIOUS party!

Meanwhile, the corruption by CometHacker was more serious. We gathered yesterday and used a mod to prevent bans except through staff members.

Flailwarrior: Hey!
Shockflash14: What are you doing here?
Flailwarrior: Oh, I tried to act friendly to CometHacker on other servers, so he didn't ban me.
EliteShadowMiner: Can you go on the JH server?
Flailwarrior: Sure! Wanna meet up on creative?
CrazyIcicle: Nah, unless we all want to get banned =P

I heard the curtains kick the door that evening. There's been a serial killer out, and he acts just like CometHacker does. Butterflies pile up in my stomach so much that I wanted to vomit them. Apparently, I'm taking a trip to my sister's house today, so here's the story from Shockflash14's point of view.

zOrkHater: Dude, I swear the serial killer outdoors is CometHacker
EliteShadowMiner: Yeah, I agree. But where is CrazyIcicle?
zOrkHater: Maybe he died from the serial killer o-o
Shockflash14: You guys are crazy. Lets just look at the server

The server was extremely laggy, and it's the only server anybody can get on now. I'm pretty sure JH uses a special antihack and backup program to kick out the virus CometHacker uses.
zOrkHater: Well, it seems just like last night, the terrible lag the server had
EliteShadowMiner: The chat is still muted.

Shockflash14: But it may be our only hope.
EliteShadowMiner: Couldn't CrazyIcicle save us? He's a good leader
zOrkHater: But he might be dead!
EliteShadowMiner: I guess. I'd rather not take the chances.
Is Zork a hacker too? Is everybody a hacker? Is the moon a hacker? How could the realm of minecraft end by a simple Essentials plugin?

The very very short but weird chapter
CometHacker was clever, and changed it to a new version where the hacks that the clan,Elite,zOrkhater, and Shockflash14, were not compatible.

Not realizing their fate, they went in and they were banned.
