When the EULA happens I will not be very happy. C'mon, I just got legend! And I love the way I get to fly majestically over everyone. I don't know why they think EULA is a good idea. I get beaten in SG, Spleef, OITC, Mine Fighters, Etc., plenty of times. I don't have an advantage against them at all. Personally, I donate because I am really dedicated to this server, and it means a lot to me, and I want to do everything I can to help keep it alive. It will no longer be alive if people stop donating. And when that happens, server hosts such as Jerry and Harry will have a hard time keeping the server up with just the youtube funds if they get any at all. Eventually, they and many other popular servers wont be able to hold up anymore, causing them to go down. I know a lot of people who play minecraft because they enjoy talking to people via the public servers. When they go down, the hosts might find it reasonable to take their forums down too. And we could end up never talking to really great friends we've made again. For me, players such as @GoobyHasAnOpinion @Magicxx130 and @SlimeCraftPBJ . Eventually, people will stop playing minecraft period. And Mojang will die. And people will lose their jobs. And there will be a spike in homeless people because they lose their jobs. Then the homeless might start dying because of over population. And then due to the overpopulation the world will be filled with trash and other stuff the homeless dont have a place for. Then this will turn into wall-e and we will all be obese and have robots cleaning up our filth. The robots and machinery will end up dying, due to the growing stupidity and weight of humans, Like in season 7 of supernatural. Due to the machinery, nobody will know what to do, and we will all just end up dying, causing the extincion of humans. So long story short, if they enforce EULA, then the human population will go extinct.
What the EULA is going to do is disable donations. Those with ranks can keep them, but you can't donate on August 1st and forever after that.
E.U.L.A stands for End-User License Agreement. It's a type of license that is being used for Software (In this case Minecraft). You know that big wall of text you get when you install a program? Yeah, the thing "you have read and accepted". Has even anyone read a whole EULA? Anyways, the EULA states how the software (Again Minecraft in this case) may be used and how it may not be used. The EULA of Minecraft WASN'T a big deal, everyone was happy. As you know, most Minecraft servers have the ability to donate (Actually purchase, since you actually get virtual goods back at most servers) to them, so they can keep up their server. You might think, why do they need money? They need it to pay their host. Mojang came with the *cough* amazing *cough* idea to change the fact that you can donate to servers, they changed the EULA, the way the game may be used. They want every "Minecrafter" to have access to everything of Minecraft, fairness. As you *most likely* know, you can donate for Creeper eggs in the J&H store. All nice and that, BUT, players that don't donate can't get the creeper eggs. And that's what Mojang wants, they want every Minecrafter to be able to get everything out of the game. So actually the new EULA will make it more fair, everyone is threated equally. Because of the new EULA, lots of servers won't be able to keep online, because they don't get any donations anymore. And that's the problem. Lots of people are afraid that servers like Hypixel, Mineplex, J&H etc. will go offline. But don't worry, these big servers got alot of donations already. I think they can keep up still pretty long. Mojang shouldn't have been so stupid to implement this new EULA right now. Minecraft is getting more popular every day. 16+ million people spent there money on this game. The new EULA will really decrease the popularity of Minecraft. They should've implemented this EULA at the beginning of Minecraft, or just not. Hope this clears some stuff up @animalzzz .
You all know absolutely nothing about this. It's almost as idiotic as when people said 1.6 "ruined Minecraft." A TL;DR version of my other post is: If you really care about the server, you don't need donating perks. The donation site is simply a shop for people who want fancy sparkles. They don't care about helping the server, they just want to act more important. @PastelColor and others that I do not know the names of have donated and specifically said they wanted to help the server without perks. So all of you should shut your mouths and stop acting like babies that had their Barney doll taken away.
Actually... I'm not a donator... And I dislike the new enforcement on the EULA. This means, that a lot of the multiplayer servers will go down.
This is the apocalypse No one will survive though Here's the story Someone read the EULA Told someone at mojang about the EULA Rumor spread Everyone thought mojang changed the EULA It wasn't changed, mojang just forgot about it cause they do lots of work but still, I don't like it
Ahhh. Eula. That little son of a- Ok. Lets not carried away, Iris. I hate it. Lets do something huh? Lets go to mojang, And burn the office. Perfect. Then I will quit MC, And want a refund. Ok? Good idea.
You really don't get the point of this thread do you...you also offended a lot of people. The point was to say to people that they shouldn't be scared of it, but instead cherish the time they have before it starts.
I got the Perfect idea For The IJAH servers :D When you donate, you should get Server exclusive items (Cosmetic of course, Like IJAH crew heads, Youtuber heads, and in 1.8 if its possible, New skin layers you can apply to your Hat layer of your skin! :D like ItsHarrys Hat, WhatTheHais visor, Saul1337's Bunny ears, You name it :D We can still make money for that, it be like TF2 in a way, Plus their should be things like Mann co supply crates, so you can get a random cosmetic item, their should also be Items from the Forum community as well For example, "Spicymans Helmet" or something! whats your opinion? AND, also a thing we can try, Make our own exclusive items that ARENT apart of the game
