Gala 5.2 Sneak Preview

Yes, you saw the title.

Gala 5.2 will be occurring at some point. Don't get your hopes up, it's not happening that soon, but it will happen sometime in May, hopefully.

Since Gala 5.0 was not that long ago and it was hosted in Rogue, this next gala will be Gala 5.2.

So, if you're wondering about the sneak preview, this is what the Gala rooms will look like.

Pastel and I built this on a creative server somewhere else:

The Gala will be hosted in an exact copy of that, built in Rogue completely in survival.

 

I'd like to build the jeopardy room as I can incorporate my buzzer :)

 

Well, Jeopardy is going to have to go a lot different.

From what Yomc said, Jeopardy horribly failed because of people /riding and spamming.
The one that I did alone with Pyro, Jmoz and Loling was fine, with Booz as an assistant.

I'll probably use the blue dome for Jeopardy, but we'd have to have a restricted audience and strict mod security for riding.

 

Room seems a little small, perhaps it could be built underground?

 

I am Very excited for this next Gala! I unfortunately was unable to attend the last Gala and I have been waiting for this one! :D

I have an idea for jeopardy. Although it would have no audience, what you could do, is build a jeopardy room like 160 blocks away, and tell people to turn off their /all. I ask, why 5.2, rather than 6.0?

 

It's not going to be 6.0 since it's hosted in the same faction, and it's not that far apart from the last Gala.

Even though 5.1 would technically be correct, 5.2 is less confusing... or something.

The plans for Gala 5.2 have officially been set, construction is due to be started whenever Pastel finishes her exams...
or whatever she said

I'll be finishing the inside of the Church of Doge, and that is where the Gala will begin.
I, as Doge Priest, will begin the Gala with a prayer to Her Dogeness and a reading from the Doge Bible.

All the Gala-goers will walk through a glass tunnel that will go straight from the Church of Doge to the Gala 5.2 official room. We don't want anyone outside in the areas of our faction, but there will be glass so you can see the beautiful surroundings.

Once we get into the actual Gala room, festivities will go on like normal. We will be hosting Jeopardy in the blue section of the Gala, but it will be strictly enforced by mods. Any player that rides a player or interrupts during Jeopardy will be kicked out of the Gala.

Hopefully, there will be a livestream of all the events of the Gala if you cannot make it. I'll most likely be filming it, as the host.

Once Jeopardy is over, the Gala 5.2 After-Party will be held on the PyromancerMagic Remembrance Bridge. There will be colorful lights and a disco ball on the bridge, and minecart rides will be provided. If you have the livestream page open, I will be playing music for the After-Party.

After I play the closing song, we'll close off the livestream, and it will be over.

I said this would be done by May, hopefully I can get to that promise. Most likely, we'll be done by the middle of June.
Don't get your hopes up for a Gala soon, this is going to take a long time.

Let amboyscout help with the gala, she did pretty well on Gala 5.0. By the way I have walked on the Pyromancer Bridge, It is WAY too small for a party.

 

That's the point.

I'm going to attach some dance floors and stuff to the bridge for the party.

And if Pastel and I need any helpers to help us build, we'll get them. We have the exact design to build, Spike and Rockor will be making the redstone for Jeopardy, someone else will probably design the rooms.

 

I didn't take it over, it was horribly planned and much too small. Crowd control was impeccable, and plans changed every 10 seconds.

Can't wait to see this gala. Hopefully this time I can attend and not miss out :c It looks nice, can't wait to see the finished product. It's also all the more interesting to see it built all legit in survival. Makes the extra work even more worth while c:

More news, @LilaRok has provided all the glass and clay that Pastel and I need to make the actual Gala room, so we may actually be done before we thought. Once we finish that, I'll decorate the inside of the Church of Doge, and I'll set up the tunnels.

And to @amboyscout, our plans are pretty large as is, so we won't need any redesigns.
