EDIT: As many have suggested, I am going to work on building a PC. I might make a thread in the future asking for help on parts and good costs, but for now, HUGE thanks to everyone who replied. You’ve all been a great help.

    hi silas
sell your xbox and save for the new one(if you still want a good console)
otherwise sell both and put it toward charity/be selfish and spend it on yourself

If you want to stay on consoles you could sell your xbox for a PS4, but there are long download times for games (I have one). If you want to play games and have it run better than a console then you'd have to save up lots of money to buy a custom built PC or just a really high end one.

I already have a PS4 so that part won’t be an issue, and if I were to get a PC I would definitely try to build it as, from what i know (my own research and some from a family friend who’s big into computer building), it’s way cheaper

Sell both your consoles and iMac and build a custom PC. Don't go low-end, maybe mid-end at least. That way your rig won't be useless in a couple years.

I'd think you'd want to go sell your Xbox and your iMac for a budget pc build. PC's are always easier because of the updating and upgrading that can be done to an extent.

Also remember that you can do so much more with your computer like Games, Applications, Work and School.
You have to remember that you still have to get a monitor, keyboard and mouse.

On the specifications side, try to go with an AMD CPU and GPU because AMD focusses their performance on 1080p 60fps for a really good price. My friend has an AMD RX480 for over 3 years now and he still uses it to this day without problems.

While you're saving money on your CPU and GPU I suggest you at least get 16gb of ram, it will save you a lot of problems in the future.
While this being said there is still no problem if you want a console because of its small form.

I agree with @poe PC's are easier to customize. You can upgrade one piece at a time without your performance taking a hit. You can save up for another console later.

I believe that consoles have potential of being phased out in the gaming industry, and that PCs are the way to go. Plus, with PCs you can do more than just game, especially when you customise. You can design some cool shit and even sell that cool shit when you have the capacity. As some have already said: build, build, build!

I’m definitely going with at least a mid-range PC as DiviXion suggested as I don’t really want to keep spending money on parts and I’d rather just splurge once and get it over with.

TY for the recommendations of some of the parts, they have been noted.
