I've re-watched San Junipero (Black Mirror) for the 3rd time today, and I still vividly enjoy it. It's always exceeding my expectations and as I age I understand more and more of it. What do you guys think of San Junipero? If you haven't watched it, please watch it! You wont regret it. If you don't have Netflix, that's cool I guess.
I always cry watching this. I think I’ve watched SJ like 10 times now and I still get emotional. I’m a lesbian, so I know how it is to have unsupporting family and I feel so connected to Yorkie. The soundtrack is what got me into 80s/90s music a lot more and I frequently listen to Heaven is a Place on Earth just to imagine driving into the moonlight with my new wife. This is the only Black Mirror episode with a happy ending and it’s really well written. 11/10, I recommend.
Far from my favourite, but probably one of the best post-channel 4 Blackmirror episodes. Also has one of best concepts as I really liked it's idea of uploading to another reality after death but the overall plot doesn't get me in ways other episodes do never understood this, it's meant to be creepy. their "lives" are stored on a machine. i always saw that entire ending as trying to emphasize the horror of its entire concept, especially with the mainstream 80s gag.
I don’t think it’s meant to be seen as creepy. They eventually fall in love and are together forever, which is what Kelly wanted with her husband many years ago. The show always has bits about how technology is lifechanging in a negative aspect, but nothing about this makes it seem negative. It’s just love, babie
perhaps the way there are multiple interpretations make it a great episode. many people just see different :)
