Well, I haven’t played MC for many months and seeing the new Skyblock update which I haven’t came on to check it out yet. And I’m wondering if spawners are no longer sold in the server store? Plus there were spawners from the old skyblock which I haven’t used yet and I’ve wasted my money? Rly???
First off, “wasting” money on the server store is never a permanent purchase. It was your decision to buy those spawners and in this case to not even use them. And yes, spawners are no longer accessible via the server store, but now only ingame with the new holy crate. This gives you a chance to no longer “waste” money on the server store but also play to receive expensive items.
Answer to your first question: Yes they are no longer sold. Answer to your second question: Yes, the spawners you had are lost along with any other items. To now obtain spawners in this new reset, its like what soap said- from a crate know as the "holy crate". And obviously to open the crate, you need a key which can be collected by 3 ways: 1. completing challenges (limited to 6 per account), 2. Buying it off the store and 3. Buying it from other players (roughly $250,000 each). About 1/3 of the crates is filled with different type of spawners and almost every spawner you can imagine of except for like cat, wolf, snowman and villagers. Some loot from the crates are decent and some are just trash so be prepared to tilt. You will not be able to change the spawners using /spawner but they can now be mined using silk touch. Should you play on here or move on: I was first quite against it, but after realising how you don't really need to pay to win anymore kinda brought me back here I guess. Overall there are plenty of new features which do come with new pros and cons. The skyblock was more like revamp than a reset tbh, oh and all the other islands are gone meaning everyone starts by having the exact same island. As for pay to win, you will be rewarded if you spend quite an amount of money on buying keys unless your luck is just horrible like mine, other than that, I'd suggest you try it out and see if you like it or not and do come in with an open mind not a brick headed person like me.
Most people expect something they bought on here to last, it's like saying you're going to reset the ranks. I know it's logical to think that it's not permanent but it's expected to be permanent as no where does it say that "items purchased will be voided in the coming months". Anyways, move on. Better games in 2018, going on 2019.
