Not an X fan but I did take a look. I think One Minute and Train Food are some highlights, although the whole album shouldn't really even exist anyway. It feels more like a demo tape of a potentially decent record, if Jahseh put work in himself, but it's clearly a shitty cash-grab bundled together by his PR team and producers to profit from his death. Most of the beats/blend samples are beyond mediocre and everything is hugely out of place. I was intrigued by the ideas of One Minute but it felt more like an X feature than vice versa, basically ye attention seeking while X tries his best to work his voice with the instrumental. Can't scream for shit lol.
that's literally what it is. it's an unfinished record. i love it but it's clearly not in it's finished state. it was probably released so that empire (jah's label) could have a first posthumous album come out in 2018. plus, skins was said by jah himself to come out in 2018, so that's likely a reason as well. i completely agree with this post. except for that 'can't scream for shit' is invalid because i really fucking liked the metal scream (though it's clearly looped no shit). also check out 'willy wonka was a child murderer' if you want more metal shit like that. there he actually screams good
