'Falling Down' and why it shouldn't exist.

If you've been a fan of XXXTENTACION and/or Lil Peep (I am a fan of both), you've probably heard about or listened to their new song 'Falling Down.' I've had this song on repeat, it's such a beautiful song. However, it technically shouldn't exist, here's why:
1. The Original
The original version of Falling Down wasn't actually called Falling Down, but rather Sunlight On Your Skin, and instead of X being the feature, it was ILoveMakonnen (who I'll call Ko from now on). The song can be found here:

Me personally, I prefer the cover art for this one way more, but 'Falling Down' is a lil better. Maybe I'm biased because I'm an XXXtreme fan of X (see what I did there xd funny joke)

Apart from cringy puns, Peep recorded the song with Ko and X hopped on it shortly before he died. So X isn't even supposed to be on the track, but he hopped on it without Peep's permission. Kinda scummy IMO. Especially because of:

2. Peep's views on X
This is a short one, but Peep thought that X really abused Geneva (if you don't know who Geneva is, basically the girl he was accused of abusing). This caused him to not really like X, because nothing was really confirmed. If Peep was alive, there would probably be no way he would let him on the track. However, the song was actually left in Ko's hands, so he probably let X on the track.

3. Disapproval
The song has claimed much disapproval from Peep's friends and family. This is a quote from a video by his good friend:
“[Peep] explicitly rejected XXX for his abuse of women, spent time and money getting XXX’s songs removed from his Spotify playlists, and wouldn’t have co-signed that song. Don’t listen to it,” he continued. “This shit is people trying to make money off him. He never would have signed up for that, he did not like XXXTentacion.”
Peep scummed X over solely due to his beliefs about him.
A moderator of the GBC subreddit:
“Out of respect to Peep/GBC and in defiance of Columbia Records we've decided that it is simply inappropriate and unethical for us to allow posting of the coming release and support of this song"
That post yearned about 175 replies, most of them supporting the purge of the song.

Overall, Ko made a somewhat wrong move letting X on the track because Peep didn't really like him. The song is great, and I'm happy it does exist, however I don't think Peep is happy at all. So, I believe this song is wrongly released and shouldn't technically exist.

I get the whole thing about respecting peep and all that but, COME ON, I love that song because it won't ever happen again, there will never be another peep and x collaboration. Its kind of send-off for Peep, if he has more songs though, then it'd be more of something that helps him stay with us. I'd say this for X but I am almost certain X has more unfinished songs they'll release.
