do other things to distract you, like play a new sport, go on jogs, hang out with friends, focus on your school work (which is what worked for me)

I personally went through a pretty rough one a few months ago. Didn't even fully recover yet. Time, distraction and having crushes on other people really help, so try doing that I guess

good luck :/ if you need anyone to speak to im here

If you're still in school, understand that high-school relationships almost never carry over after school. I knew this couple that dated for 6 years during school. The guy was older by a couple years. A few months after the girl graduated, they broke up. That's probably one of the more holy shit examples I can give but generally, it's meaningless until you're in the real world.

General advice is to find new hobbies and distract yourself. Going out with friends is really good but the one thing you do not want to do is just stay at home and put your memories and depressing thoughts on replay. This advice goes with any sad event, really. Also, as some people have pointed out, time does wonders. As long as you keep trying to move forward and focus on the more important things, you should be fine.

It takes time. Breakups are not easy, obviously. It's easy to distract yourself and with time things will loosen up.

I’m kind of late, but I think a really important thing to remember when it comes to break ups is do not force/convince yourself to like someone just to like them. I know it seems like it’ll help, and honestly for a while you’ll feel like you’re really starting to get or have completely gotten over them, but that is absolutely temporary, and you could possibly end up hurting someone in the end. You’ll have days where you feel like you’re on top of the world and not even think about them, or you’ll think about them and barely feel anything at all. Then you will also have days where you miss them and possibly even consider getting back with them. Don’t let those days discourage you. Everyone says this, but time really does heal. In my opinion, exes are exes for a reason and you just gotta make sure to remember why you broke up in the first place.

Do your best to distract yourself and focus on you and what you need to be doing.

    Good luck, you got this!

Let's just say that time doesn't heal the wounds, rather you just get used to the pain. The only advice I can give you is to just be around people that love you, friends, family etc. At some point it'll just stop bothering you. Also, taking a break from social media or just blocking the person might be a band-aid fix for a while. Stay strong, stay positive. You're still very young, you'll have many more oportunities to fall in love and be loved. Take it as a lesson, you'll be stronger after it and it'll be harder for you to make an emotional connection again with someone. The feeling of loneliness will go away I promise. You're not alone.
