Hi I start 8th grade tomorrow 2nd year of middle school any tips from u older ppl?

 

do all of your work and put effort into it

 

if you had summer work, do it
also make sure to turn in assignments on time it’ll impact your grades tremendously if you’re late

 

Didn't do that last year, got the punishment on being grounded the whole summer...

Didn't have summer work, and at my school missing assignment don't really impact our grade, but I'll make sure to do them

First of all, don't worry much. You may think of how hard all the work will be but trust me, the majority of the time it's just your anxiety playing with you. There will be work to be done but it won't be to the level you think of.

Also, as Lizza said above, remember to get all your assignments done on time. Try to avoid procrastinating as much as you can and you will be fine my man. Good luck!

 

oh god lol, but it seriously will help you create good habits that you'll need in high school. i hope you have fun, 8th grade is usually a good year :))

 

Usually, but where I live kids are horrible. We swear all the time and are toxic af. But thx.

 

Try to have fun too. When I was your age I was very stressed about school because I put a ton of effort into studying. I started getting blackouts in tests. Then, I started hanging out with my friends in school more often, especially with big groups of friends after school and even though I was studying less, I did extremely good in tests, finishing all my subjects on 92+ (basically A+).

You need to balance your time and know your limits. If you can't study anymore or if it's better to sleep instead of studying, don't study.

Also, use a calendar app like Google Calendar to fill in events (like tests), it'll help you stay focused on what you should be doing and it's very simple to do.

People always talk about doing good academically, but remember that the things you'll remember are the friendships, the fun, the adventures... Try to make the most out of it :)

 

8th grade ain't hard. Work hard and find pleasure in what you do in school, but don't forget to hang out with friends and be careful to keep your social life.

I went into 8th grade this year too and it's been easy. Do homework, be nice, have friends, don't be toxic, don't curse, don't get in trouble, you'll be fine. If you have trouble doing homework cause you're thinking, "Ah, what the hell, this is pointless" just think that you could be that homeless person you see on the street if you don't try in school.
