Bump. No idea what is going on in administration. If they keep the old survival server down they should release the map for possible download.
I talked to some people in survival today and they said this has been going on for a month (although I can't verify). Whether that's true or not it'd be nice to at least know why it's not working. If the server that the old map was hosted on was taken down to save money then people would like to know that. If there's no plan to bring the old map back to it's own server then lots of people would like the map to be released for download. Whatever the case may be it seems that a lot of survival players are irritated by this and are even more annoyed that there hasn't been an answer. Even if there's not a solution right now at least a explanation for this would be nice.
