Who do you think is the best vocalist in this age (recent musicians 2000 and above, or artists releasing new music recently), in terms of range, technique, and other vital aspects like diaphragm support, abdominal support, etc?

I think Ariana Grande is probably the best vocalist in terms of range specifically. She used to have very good technique but I think that as she has moved towards pop music over the years, it has deteriorated. I still think she is extremely talented as she has shown in live performances to hit notes like G5, A5, and F#5. She also has very good support while performing live, as she also choreographs. She obviously has a very good breathing technique as well.

I think Mitch Grassi and Scott Hoying of Pentatonix should at the very least be mentioned - they've shown dozens of times over their unique tones, stunning ranges, and classical training that won them a position in the coveted TMEA All-State choirs when they were back in high school, and they were season 3 winners of the Sing Off a capella singing competition.

I'm going with Beyonce. But also, Adele and Ariana Grande are up there. Still, I think Beyonce has a more powerful voice.

i'm not a really big music connoisseur nor do i really know much about music, but it is pretty evident to me that brendon urie has a very wide vocal range.

Ross Jennings, the lead singer of Haken and Novena, is one of the best singers in my opinion mainly because the notes that I've seen this guy can do at concerts is amazing! Even myself trying to do them is really tiring, I don't know how he does it

James LaBrie, the lead singer of Dream Theater, is another amazing singer. Even though he has been singing since the mid-80's, he's still going at 54 years old and still does AMAZING songs and still has an amazing voice! I've personally never saw him live (yet) but what I've heard is that he's amazing live as well!

There's obviously more but these are the two I thought of first!

Ed Sheeran is amazing. He is just a fucking genius, probably why he wins so many awards I guess.

Tim Storms is pretty impossible to compete against. He holds the record for greatest vocal range and lowest note ever sung at a G-7, 8 octaves below a piano. There's still some controversy over whether a note that low is physically possible.

    Ariana Grande.

i am not even being biased as a fan.
take a look at this video ->

I saw her on the "Dangerous Woman Tour" 2x and even though it was the one of the last shows, we received the same vocals that the first few shows release.

I also would like to jump aboard the Ariana Grande train.
Her vocals are the only ones that have impressed me thus far.
Ed Sheeran would be my second though nowhere near Ariana Grande, I just like his voice.
Man, I really need to see Ed Sheeran live again.

I also think JoJo has a very impressive range. I’ve listened to her ever since I was a little kid, but unfortunately she’s really underrated. You guys should check her out.

Camila Cabello, Adele or Ariana Grande, easily 3 of the best singers of the century.
