https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo...ew-york-city-triggering-evacuations-in-subway Today, police in New York reported that "explosions of an unknown origin" in midtown Manhattan. Then at 8 a.m. A blast was reported on 42nd Sreet & 8th Avenue. The A, C and E line are being evacuated in the city's subway. The person that set off the explosions is unknown. Let's hope everyone in New York is OK.
Yeah I just heard about that on the radio. Manhattan isn't the safest place to be and I hope if there are any victims of the explosion, they are okay. I think they found one suspect, who was I think a 19 or 20 year old male and there was more people, but all I heard was that the trains had to be stopped and it was havoc when the explosion happened.
Alleged Bomber is 27-year-old male named Akayed Ullah Alleged Bomber has resided in Brooklyn for 7 years Attempted scuicide bombing Pipe bomb detonated prematurely. 4 people injured all injuries are non-life-threatening this guy is an idiot lol
New York: Multiple terrorist attacks in 2 years. Trump: We need to stop illegal immigrants. ok but in all seriousness, it's making me more and more upset that nothing is being done about this. I know Europe is going through some tough times regarding terrorist attacks, (London, Madrid, etc.) and things are genuinely being done about it, but I just don't know why the president of the USA isn't focusing on the obvious problem. oh well, hope the injured people get better :)
Even though no one was seriously injured I just wanna thank God that nothing bad happened. Who knows, his intentions would have probably been worse and he might have bombed the inside of a train. These terrorist attacks are becoming more common as the months go by. Like seriously, it happens at least once a month now. They need to fix this problem because it's just really scary. It can happen anywhere and to anyone.
I wanna hope that none of the existing religions say "be a dumbass suicide bomber and kill everyone XD gonna be lit fam trust me"
1) Most of those if not any of them were not religiously motivated. 2) There has been 68 deaths due to whites, while there has been 95 due to islamic attacks. To put that in perspective, 63% of america is white. ~1% is muslim.
Based on what? Where are you getting these numbers from? Yes 1% of America is Muslim, but that comes out to 3.3 million. How many of those 3.3 million are dangerous? There is also research that shows muslims are not the problem: https://www.google.com/amp/s/m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_594c46e4e4b0da2c731a84df/amp The fact is that nearly every major mass shooting was not from a muslim. Colombine? White. Auora theater? White. Sandy hook? White. Virginia Tech? Korean. Vegas? White. Charlottesville? White. Those are the only the major shootings that get the media's attention. What about all the homocides in cities? Have there been attacks from islamic extremists, yes (Orlando, Boston and others) but the key word there is extremists. To insinuate that Muslims are inherently dangerous is the epitome of ignorance. Every religion, political party, race, faction of any kind has its shitheads. It's so easy to look at the shitheads and say "this group is a problem!", and yes liberals are guilty of this mentality as well. The key is to understand that most people of that group are not shitheads. For the same reason that christianity shouldn't be defined by the KKK and West Bruo baptist church, the same reason why cops should not be defined by the very few who abuse their powers, Muslims should not be judged based on the actions of a few. Tl;Dr: Use common sense.
How do you expect someone to use common sense when the media and everyone around us show the bad side of their religion? I dont think he's being ignorant it's just the fact that we haven't seen or heard anything "good" about them lol and that isn't our fault, it's media's fault
Religious views aside, this bomber is a complete idiot and thankfully no one was fatally injured. I'll be expecting an increase in police presence at 42nd street when I transfer for the 7 train.
Dude.. where are you getting your facts? You're being so ignorant... it hurts my eyes. "The religion of peace strikes again" In case you weren't aware, a very, very small percentage of Muslims around the globe are extremists. An even smaller percentage of those are actually terrorists. Some extremist Muslims don't even act on their views. My own mother, a woman born and raised in an Islamic country who wears a scarf everyday in America, regardless of discrimination and disrespect she receives on a day to day basis, completely disagrees with the views of terrorist groups like ISIS. Most Muslims disagree with the views and actions of extremist "Islamic" groups. Basically, implying what you've said in other another scenario, since a lot of white people shoot up schools, all white people are school shooters. You're making an assumption and generalizing a whole group based on a few incidents by people who aren't even considered a part of that group. Most Muslims don't consider extremists to that extent even followers of Islam. It is a mask they use to implement their radical views. Islam is, in fact, a religion of peace. So much like many other religions that have developed and are widely followed today. For the trillionth time, the problem isn't the religion of Islam or its followers. You have no justification and no jurisdiction stating things as plainly as you did, as if they're even correct. You're wrong. "Most of those if not any of them were not religiously motivated." Okay, the events in Charlottesville were not religiously motived, but let's take a look at the definition of terrorism: Spoiler The actions taken by extremists with "Islamic" beliefs are acts of terror, and so are the actions of white supremacists in Charlottesville. Again, you're wrong. And please don't assume that just because I come from an Islamic background, that the only reason why I'm responding is because I'm offended. I may be slightly offended, but my response is not one of anger. It's one to educate you because obviously, you don't understand this topic correctly.
