So this year I'm taking Algebra 1, and the teacher is terrible. The first red flag was a few days ago, she gives us one 20 minute lesson on something and then tested us on it the next day, most of the class failed, you were lucky to get higher than a D. I got a B+. This pissed off the whole class. Oh, she also yelled at me for using a stress ball in class. Today she randomly announced the chapter test was tomorrow, giving us one night of study. And half the stuff on the review practice quiz she did not go over/did not go over properly. She relies on stations to teach us more than verbal lectures. What are some issues with teachers you've had in your schooling careers? (Don't put any names)
Strangely, I don't have any mean teachers this year. My Biology teacher is the most "strict" on the rules, if you're even 1 second late after the bell rings you're considered as late in his class. Other then that all my teachers are pretty nice. Back in First grade I had a teacher who was strict/nice. And in 3rd grade I had a teacher who was basically a ticking timebomb.
I prefer strict teachers to lenient ones, mostly because the lenient ones almost always favor the disruptive kids in class and disregard actual good kids. This describes a lot of my teachers this year, and I'm not a fan since it's not really fair lol. That's all that really ticks me off with a teacher, otherwise I just try to ignore it
ohohoh @Fredrique My history teacher last year oh boy She pulled me out of class to talk to me about a paper i' wrote and how it seemed plagiarized. she said it seemed plagiarized because aPpArentlY "no sophomore uses the word 'thus'" mk hun And then second semester while we were writing an essay for a test, she told my class to not write our names at the top of our essays, but somewhere else because "sometimes when you read someones writing without knowing who it is you judge it better" I guess? like that's fucked up and biased towards/against students
One of my teachers spoke to me in improper Tagalog and English once on the first day of school, she even said English words with a "Filipino" accent. I replied with, "Thanks, I can speak English by the way." I proceeded to correct her bad Tagalog and winked as I walked away lol. It was like she was reading off of Google translate to talk to me. Being mixed I don't have an accent either, which made the whole situation even better.
Algebra 1 is a 9th grade course, we're in middle school. If a teacher in an advanced class gives a shitty lesson and then tests on it the next day, it's on the teacher lol
My teachers are strict but nice I had a French teacher two years ago and she was a devil She basically hated me bc I'm English I once heard her talking to another teacher about me, saying that 'That English girl in first year is never going to pass.' Of course, none of the other teachers believed me but I'm in third year now She got fired Karma is a bitch
In College, I had an English teacher back in 2016 who was a decent guy outside of class, but sucked as a teacher. He had us study controversial subjects as well as Plays by Woody Allen.( Honestly that would've been better for a Drama class, but not english) Plus he had a serious potty mouth and dropped Sex jokes and F bombs left and right. And he was really biased and unfair with his grading. This year I didn't see his name in the Teacher list anymore so I think he was fired from our school campus. :P
Last year: My biology teacher, fking horrible woman who hated everything and everyone, wtf. And economics teacher, tried to be funny, wasn't funny. This year: Nobody, except a dislike for my chemistry teacher (same one as last year), I'm one of his favorites so he treats me very nice but he treats others like shit and he shouts all the time, it's kind of unfair. Oh and my NEW economics teacher is really kind and all but fking hell he cant teach shit
Got in trouble in 3rd grade coz I was whispering to a friend as we were leaving the classroom. That was fun. Glad I quit that school. I couldn't deal with it for another 2 years.
She was an asshole and was super fucking annoying. She also kept weights in front of her desk and I always tripped over them...
My 5th grade teacher for Math & Science. She always tried to frame students so she could take them to the office for something they didn't do. She framed me for taking her iPad by putting it in my locker.
On Thursday I really wasn't in the mood to study and I was feeling somewhat ill, so I asked my Civics teacher if I can leave without getting an absence as it was my last period and I was not well, she said I can and that she won't give me an absence. Fast forward to today, I see she gave me one. Now the reason it pisses me off is A: she said she wouldn't give me one, B: I said id make up the work, which I did (and showed her to prove I did it) and C: because other kids have done this in the past, even without proving they made up the work, kids that disrupt the class on a regular basis, and nothing has happened to them. Other than missing her class 4 times last year because of other classes, and this one period last week(which she allowed me to miss), I haven't missed a class, I've done all the homework and handed it in on time or early, haven't disturbed the class, I've done nothing wrong, and yet she will not remove the absence... [I know I'm ranting, sorry, I just hate this teacher (not only for this, obviously) ]
