Every server (besides Hypixel and some niche ones) is losing players, has nothing to do with a couple of Russians in Farm King

What are you even talking about with "muting all the turks"? The only thing remotely close to it was the english warning, which was incredibly short lived and was completel ereased.
You're in the spotlight because this is your thread, and people strongly disagree with what you are saying, and with good reason. What you are saying in this thread is the definition of xenophobia.

To be fair once that yter stops playing our server (which is going to be bound to happen soon enough), his fanbase will just follow him to the next server he plays on

I wouldn't worry about it, I highly doubt all those russian players are going to be long-term like the Turkish players with Skyblock. If they are, then hey, maybe something could be done with adding a translator to the server or whatnot (if that's possible) considering we have no staff at all that speak Russian (and to be honest I myself am not willing to learn it). There are other options than to just completely get rid of them, but I understand your frustrations

yeah ur adorable broken English as u pronounce "Poe"

anyway, I think what the people above stated is right because some of them are really nice even though they don't talk English.
You can still "communicate" in some way.
I do respect your opinion that it's overwhelming but the server is international and they will probably stay on farmking and skyblock anyway :P

Certainly, if I enjoyed the games on there.
Hmm, same big claim as before. Again, how do you know if they're insulting each other/"tearing the community apart" if you don't even know what they're saying?

Imagine you went on SL and everyone spoke their native language instead of English. Would this immediately mean that everyone was tearing the server apart? Or if a group of new players joined from Taiwan and didn't understand English. Does that mean they should be banned?

I'm going to stop pointing stuff out now as it's not going to get me anywhere. Similarly I'd rather you didn't do the same to my post as it's not really worth it. Instead I'll try and give proper advice.

I'm pretty certain you have xenophobia, whether or not you realise it, so similar to other phobias I think you could try and slowly combat the fear mentally. At the very least that won't get a load of angry people attacking you on a minecraft forum :P

The "English" warning I believe gave a 2d ban after 2 warnings (one served as a warning kick) (I apologise if I'm wrong but I can't for the life of me remember if it was mute or ban).

It was incredibly unfair and extremely hard to enforce. One of my strongest memories in there is being the only staff online warning Skyblock and then begging Willy to help.

Even if we wanted to enforce punishments, it's near impossible to. (Not directed at you Scout ah I was merely explaining the English warning zz)

Not really, I know Joel and he wouldn't do such a thing. It's a valid complaint nonetheless which I personally understand, but I have to say that I do not agree with some claims he did make/the way he approached it (sorry Joel)

I'm just saying I understand where he's coming from but it would be outright wrong to mute/ban/warn people for not speaking a certain language, especially considering atm they make up a semi-large part of the server population

The big problem I see with this is that there are no staff members that speak Russian, so Russian speakers are able to get away with basically anything. As I said in my previous post, I am not willing to dedicate my own time to learn Russian for this voluntary job which I am not going to keep forever and I am sure other staff members will understand where I am coming from. They're going to eventually leave, just as that Russian youtuber will leave. Again, as I said above, if they do not then maybe we can work on adding a translation plugin/etc to the server to try to make things a bit smoother

Valid complaint or not, the approach was wrong. If anything is learned form this is how to actually post something of concern without coming off as arrogant and narrow minded.

Joel ILY man, but this is probably one of the stupidest threads I've seen.

The server is dying (if not, dead) and to have Demaster (the RUSSIAN YouTuber who originally posted a video on the server, causing his fans to come and play) save the server, (yes by Russian players, but still save it) like seriously give this man a medal. If anything, we should thank the Russians for helping us get our server back on track! As I see it, Russia is a hero for IJAH! (last line was a joke but not really)

And, if it actually bothers you that much, either get off the damn server or ignore chat. Yes, you shouldn't have to, but at-least you won't have to look at all the Russians.

Honestly I am most likely wrong with my statistics but I'm going to say this from what I've seen anyway.
I don't believe JerryandHarry is dying personally, yes it has been losing players over the past few months unfortunately, but then as of recent when I've been looking at the player count around peak times, the amount has actually been increasing from what I've seen. At peak time from what I saw there used to be 700-800 odd people on but now that's increased with one on occasion this week there was a time where the server hit 1000 players again. I believe we are gaining new members and faces into the community. 'The Russians' are just adding to this and I see this as a great opportunity for the server to grow even further than for it to be a chance for discrimination.
I understand the point but it could have been approached different e.g. suggesting more Russian speaking staff are hired.

It's not exactly dying. The player count cycles. School... Holidays... I watch the patterns. During the summer break the lowest count during the 'off-time' is about 400. During the school year (for northern hemisphere players) it's about 200. The high player count is anywhere between 800 and 1200. I'd hardly call that dead.

My fault, I didn't explain fully and it has been edited now.
I was just saying how I don't think the server is dying from the player count patterns I've seen.

    Ah, alright.
Still, compared to back in 2015/16, iJAH really hasn't been the same. This is my opinion, though. What do I know, I've only been here since 2015 or something x3

Nonetheless, it could still use a boost, and Demaster helped us with that! I personally thank Demaster for doing that.
However i do respect yours (and others) opinions, and I'm not gonna try to argue. So spewing what I think out, you spew your stuff, and we have a simple balance!

P.S - Anything I've said addressing this topic at all is opinion. None more, none less than it. So I'm giving my thoughts, I don't care if their statistically wrong.

    P.P.S - Thanks for editing lol x3

During school year, we had about 1.2k people online at every moment.
