Minecraft how did you find out about minecraft?

i found out about minecraft when i was in second grade, my friend told me he plays minecraft and that he has built a lot of things. that had me interested and i decided to get it. i started back in 2013 and it has been fun since (except for the new updates). i still play it, and i still have fun playing it.
i wanna hear how u guys found out about minecraft tho.

 

It's kind of an interesting story on how I found out about Minecraft.

Back in 2012 I was aware of the games existence, but didn't really have the interest to give it a try, It was until I discovered that there was a Pocket version of the game for phones, and I played that. Turned out I really liked playing that game and I wanted to play more of it.

It wasn't until summertime when Someone I knew saw me playing pocket edition and asked if I wanted to play the PC version of the game, I Said yes and we installed it on my old Desktop PC, From there I was hooked.

We come to today where I got to see a lot of great things come out of MC and meet a ton of great people. I honestly wouldn't be able to do that if it wasn't for a old friend of mine. :)

 

Minecraft PE.

 

I don't remember exactly but I know I had learned from the game due to some episodes surrounding it of my favorite youtubers at the time which included annoying orange, sml, tobygames, and smg4. My brother and I had wanted the game for so long so in December of 2012 my dad finally broke and bought us the game, with one single profile we shared for so long. I'm the sole owner of that profile, but he occasionally hops on Hypixel or sorts. Since then, I got into SkyDoesMinecraft and his friend group which kept me interested for so long.

 

I don't remember how, I believe from a friend of my mom's (who's kids played), but I did discover Minecraft in 2009, and somehow I am still here today XD

 

My friend got me into it after begging me to play it for months. I did it finally, now I regret it. :<

 

Someone showed it to me in the really early stages of development and I got hooked to the game.

My friends played it alot so i knew something about it, then i saw DanTDM on YouTube and started watching more Minecraft. Then my i decited to buy it!

I had a friends who owned a server back in the day, and recommended the game to me. The creative aspect of this game is what kept me playing!

 

Saw some stuff for it on Youtube, at first I thought looked stupid but then my brother got MC:PE. I played it too and got addicted.
And now my brother hates MC and makes fun of me for playing it. Funny how that works.

An irl friend of mine begged me to buy it in the beginning of 5th grade, and the summer before 6th my dad finally bought it for me. We still play together to this day, lmfao.

 

someone shouldn't make fun of someone else for playing a game they like. that really triggers me

 

can't really remember, but i think i watched some old Minecrafters (dantdm stamps you know the ones) and said AYO LEMME TRY THAT! my aunt bought it for me and i cried over it because we didn't have internet at the time lmao

3 years and 5 months later i quit the game

 

one of my friends in year 3 or 4 (around 2012) showed me the game so i convinced my parents to buy it for me

 

My best friend at the time was really addicted to it but I was always like ehhh. Then one day I was over at his house and of course he was playing it and I was watching him play and I started liking it. I also remember we would scream a lot because we were both afraid of creepers and mobs in general lol Good old times in Dec 2011
