The sad thing is, in this era nobody can handle a positive thing. It's like everything has to be negative. It also doesn't cater a certain portion of people. For the (I don't even know what number of time), this is an open event. This is to show off pride. I am still astounded by the absolute disrespect everyone gets on the server.

Can we just think about this positively? I don't want to start up a debate or argument, this is not what this thread is about.

Read the replies. If you're going to start a debate, create a different thread, but nobody appreciates that people are turning this thread into something it's not. I'm tired of it happening to all of the threads lately. Not every thread needs to be a debate.

 

I understand your point, but you're still posting to a public area of people who are going to want to post their opinions and... unless you lock the thread. You can't stop that..

This thread isn't about voicing opinions, at all. It's simply a community event that I want people to be able to attend. Not a debate thread either.

Everyone is making this so much worse than this is. Just say if you're going or not.
You don't need to make it clear that it's a thread so "of course people will give opinions," because they don't have to. You don't need a straight party bc that shit is everyday. And you don't need to post shit that doesn't belong or has nothing to do with this.
It's clearly bothering the creater of the thread, but who would stop to consider someone's feelings when there's a thread everyone can give the opinions that no one asked for?
Just reply if you're going or not, please. Don't make something nice, bad, because you can't hold your tongue.

 

I'll just highlight this reply.

 

Take the negative with the positive. There is no in between fam. That's rule #1 of decision making. If you really want to stop the arguing while still keeping a direct support line open, simply say "I'm taking questions about this in PM :)". It's really easy.

Seriously. If you don't want to start a debate or drama, you can just nip this in the bud. This isn't going to get any better. It's just going to get worse. And, more than likely, closed by a higher staff member later on regardless.

 

As MC_Scout has already said stop turning this into an argument, as it is just a community event like the other ones we have had in the past.
