    I've had this issue too.

I don't know what causes this, but my theory is: this is caused by you playing a lot of multiplayer under a more strict/limited builder ratio. The code thinks that always and takes it upon your single player world. Something along those lines.

Solution: There are a couple (no order)
First, try reloading your world. Sometimes it just needs to rewrite some stuff so that you can break blocks and build etc. If that doesn't work, restart Minecraft.

Second, wait it out. Sometimes it'll just stop after a while from playing for a while. Also, you'll cut it down eventually if you just keep breaking it.

Thirdly, if your not, go to the latest version of Minecraft. Another theory I have is that since Mojang doesn't support it's older Minecraft versions (due to them making new ones and supporting them), so this get's worse. Try using 1.12 (if your are, then use the first two.)

    Hope this helped :)

This usually happens to me whenever I try to break blocks in Singleplayer on an Amplified world.

I believe the cause is lag (the world is laggy).
How to fix this? I think that once you've been in the world for awhile and have chunks loaded, it will gradually happen less.

First: I have reloaded it like 2 times and then deleted it and made another one and it still acts up tbh idk why

Second: I have been off Minecraft for like a month before when this was happening and it still would do that.

    Third: I am on 1.12

UPDATE: I-- It's fixed. Thank you for your help!
