Older siblings vs Younger siblings

Which are better & which are worse? Debate in the comments.

 

I chose older just because I'm the younger sibling, but most of the time the younger siblings are worse tbh, but I do get treated as the older sibling most of the time so idk...

All my life I've been stuck with two older brothers who act like 7 year-olds

It kinda sucks being the youngest (especially when there's a fucking 15 year age gap between you and your siblings)

• Hand me downs
• "When I was your age..."
• CONSTANT BULLYING AND LIVING IN FEAR
• Since they're males and they're physically bigger, their punches hurt and I get tackled constantly. (Tfw your oldest brother is a bodybuilder and the other one was a former quarterback who still has muscle and strength)
• YOU always get blamed

But it's also cool being the youngest

• Learn from your sibling's mistakes
• Cool story times about their youth (they spill tea on family members)
• You're automatically your parent's favorite (heh)
• Free rides
• Free things

 

I'm the oldest since I only have on little brother.

I don't like explaining too much but some things about having a younger sister or brother are just so annoying:

• They always get old things for free
• They rarely get the blame
• They always get things earlier than you did (a phone, laptop etc)
• You're responsible for everything. Whatever it is, when you're home alone with your younger sibling, you're responsible. If they break something, that's your problem, not theirs.
• If my brother stole or broke one of my things, I always got the excuse ''Oh he's young he still has to learn.'', that's really annoying.

But I believe there are some bad sides to being the youngest too:

• Nothing is new, your first steps? Whatever already seen that
• You always are ''the younger brother/sister of ....'

That's it actually idk anymore lol

 

I'm the oldest of my siblings, my brother is 14 and my sister is 4. I don't see them often (they don't live w/ me) so I can't really give my two cents

 

I have a younger brother and he gets treated differently to me.
I wouldn't like being the youngest though. I love holding some responsibility for him.

 

I'm the youngest, I have 1 big sis and 2 big bros. In the past they used to bully me, but now we are all mature and we get along great, almost like big friends. We just live our lifes and have fun

 

i do not know, i have an older brother, an older sister and a younger sister, so i cant and wont decide

 

I'm a middle child and it's kinda interesting cus I kinda get the best and worst of both worlds and in my experience younger siblings are the worst bc they are spoiled rotten and never get in trouble for literally anything but sometimes older siblings succ, but definitely not as much and I feel like I'm closer to my older sibling. Like we can relate more and I feel like I just cannot deal with little kids so that's probably why I think younger siblings are worse.

 

I have both. Older siblings are always the cool ones and younger siblings are always the annoying ones that want to be with you b/c they look up to you (since you're the older sibling in their eyes)

And @Phoenix said it perfectly. 4 years ago, my little brother lost his 3DS and my parents swore to never buy him another one. Today, he came home with a brand new one in his hands. So... Yeah...

can't decide tbh bc I have 3 brothers, 1 being only a year younger, another being only a year older. the age difference is too similar for me to decide. although the other brother is 8 years older, can't decide. I haven't really had a situation where my little bro got no blame or gotten old things for free. my brothers and I get treated the same. so yeah, can't decide.

 

Older, because you can't control them. Younger siblings are easy to manipulate.

 

I'm an older sibling but I gotta say older because I got to go through things first, but when my brother reaches that age he has someone to consult him (me) because I've went through it.

 

I'm a younger sibling and my brothers are very VERY annoying..i hate it and being a younger sibling means you get to beg more for free stuff >:)
