So, I know that this should be in the Parkour Section, but I wanted everyone to take a look at this and maybe get some ideas on how to be better at parkour!
    Understand? :3

    Welcome to
    Carmen's Parkour Guide!

So, I think a bunch of you know about the J+H Gamemode, Parkour. A bunch of people go on it, and some usually say, "I don't know how to do parkour!"

If you're one of those people, relax.

    I got you.

So, there are four Parkour Gamemodes.
    • Easy
    • Medium
    • Hard
    • Mega

I'll try to cover all four of these! But, nevertheless, here ya go!

    EASY

Easy parkour is just how it sounds.

You get in, you play, you have fun. Anyway, here are a couple of tips to help you!

    1. If you are new, take it slow until you got the feel of the map.
It's not always about rushing when you start. Be sure to keep trying over and over. It doesn't matter about your time when you try it at first. Focus on your skill. Once you feel as if you know the map by heart, you may speed run. But first, just take it slow.

    2. Time the jump properly.

Once you get into the map, be sure to keep trying one jump over and over again. At one point, you'll be able to time the jump so properly, your friends will consider you an MVP.

    3. Listen to your favorite music.

If you just need some inspiration while doing parkour to help you concentrate. I would do this if you feel like you need something to help you feel energized. If you get distracted easily, I don't recommend this tip. But, you can still do it. This is optional.

    MEDIUM

Have you tried Easy parkour with these tips? Well, if you have, you're ready for medium, I suppose?

    1. Try to run at a moderate pace.

If you feel comfy, be sure to run at a moderate pace. I would recommend sprinting a few, and then stopping, think about your strategies, and keep going. This is simple for you future speed-runners, but you got to learn how to run moderate before sprinting.

    2. Set your render distance to 32+.

With this render distance, you'll be able to see what's ahead! If you use this, you'll be able to find the jumps and how to do them. I recommend this if you're serious about parkour.

    3. Calm yourself first.

If you want to parkour correctly, calm yourself first. Do a bit of meditation if you feel like you will rage. If you fall and you're having a mental breakdown, think about peaceful things to help you concentrate.

    HARD

You've survived easy and medium. But can you survive hard? Can you be the ultimate PARKOUR GOD?

    1. Just sprint all the way.

Dude, now if you run at a moderate pace, how can you be considered a god? Be sure to click sprint for the entire way. Stop ONLY if you are entering a "quad-jump zone." A quad jump zone is where the gap is 4 blocks.

    2. Think of it as a race.

It's a race when its hard. If you think of it as a race, you are most likely going to try to go faster than normal. Be sure to stop every so often to check your jumps and strategy.

    3. Calm yourself throughout the parkour.

If you calm yourself throughout the parkour, (like in Medium) you will not rage as much. If you think of peaceful things, you will feel more concentrated on your task. Be sure to breathe deep breaths if you feel like screaming.

    MEGA

The final straw. You got past the three levels of parkour, now you are a master. But can you truly compete with the parkour gods?

    1. Breathe

Mega parkour isn't easy. Although you have speed and jump boost, there are power-downs along the way, guaranteed to slow you down. In order to maintain a peaceful environment, you must breathe when you feel like breaking down. After all, Mega pushes you.

    2. Sprint, and don't stop.
Although speed boost comes into play, you can't walk all the time. Eventually, you'll realize you are going slow too late. Before you reach the checkpoint, you fall to your doom. Keep sprinting. You may have to stop eventually if you feel you are going way too fast, but otherwise, you keep sprinting.

    3. Motivate yourself.

"You're doing great!", "Keep going!" and "You got this!" are what you have to tell yourself. Don't think that you'll fail. If you do, tell yourself what you could've done better. Either that, or listen to motivational music. Here, I'll provide one for you. (I guarantee you know this one!)

    ➴➶➴➶➴➶➴➶➴➶➴➶➴➶➴➶➴➶➴➶➴➶➴➶➴➶➴➶➴➶➴➶➴➶➴➶➴➶➴➶➴➶➴➶➴➶➴➶➴➶➴➶

Were these tips helpful for you guys? Tell me!

Anyway, hopefully I'll see you on parkour!

    Bye!

I'd possibly fix some small grammar issues.
To start, maybe mention some starter maps and harder maps.
    • For example, everyone starts on either Sonic, Cave, or Jungle, and end on Eroded (example because it is the hardest map).
    Also...
maybe you should add some things to the thread for sensitivity.
Mouse sensitivity is an issue for people wanting to learn parkour. Should probably recommend a reasonable number to adjust the average player too.
    My final point:
    • Give them some ways they can get involved in the parkour community. People would probably wish to be "cool" in the chat area's/spawn point and make friends along the way of growth.

    Alright that's all, thanks!

I was doing this in a hurry XD

Maybe if I make an improved version, I'd add what you recommend!

I did them in a rush, so I'm glad you think that! Personally, I think they're awful.

I would disagree in that matter: Here is a video of Squatman99 doing Impossible, a very hard map:

And here is a video of me doing Eroded:

One thing is, Impossible took me an hour and a half to speedrun completely while Eroded took me just half an hour. But since you can literally skip half Eroded, I'd say Impossible is much harder.
    =========================
This tutorial is helpful to guide the new people, for stress is the most relevant thing to deal with when it comes to parkour.

As a staff, you probably shouldn't encourage the use of shortcuts on maps; although thanks for telling me, it will be patched as soon as possible.

    EDIT: patched

I'm watching everyone do SO great on parkour, while I can't even make the first jump on ERODED.

    ERODED.

Yes, I know its a hard map. But I've been doing parkour for a long time. So, I don't see why I suck so badly at Eroded.

These are some pretty good tips! I have *some* experience with parkour (I wouldn't say I'm the best), so I do know a few tips and tricks. I actually learned a few things! :D

I forgot to say my opinion on this.
I could see that this is pretty helpful to anyone that is struggling with MEGA maps like me.

Thank you so much for this guide! Personally, I'm very terrible at parkour and I will be sure to refer back to this guide in times of deep and emotional struggle on the mega maps xD haha.
