    The Emoji Movie has been cancelled. Due to intense internet backlash following its teaser trailer, Sony Pictures decided to cancel work on the animated film "The Emoji Movie," formerly known as Emojimovie: Express Yourself.

    I'm honestly not surprised. The teaser trailer was pretty shitty imo.

    Making a movie about Emojis in my opinion was a bad Idea from the very start. I mean of course Emojis are popular amongst the younger generation, But surely it didnt need a movie adaptation. I mean there are so many things that these animation companies could have chose from, But i guess some smart individual in the writing room said "Hey, Kids like Emoticons, Why dont we make a movie about that?" and thus this was made.

    I knew this was going to be bad right when i looked at the poster for it. Before, I thought it was just some strange joke that people were throwing around, But when i found out it was real, I wasnt surprised at all by just how bad it looks. To me, the Emoji movie just seems like a Blatant cynical cash-in to milk a bunch of money out of a bunch of popular text message faces with as little imagination as possible, So im actually kind of happy this movie was cancelled, Im sorry Sony pictures, but you could do better.
