Why Sky Wars shows some major promise to the server

Hello All!
Today I hoped on the server and decided to play the new game Sky Wars (this wasn't my first time), however this time I noticed something. I realized how this new mini-game suddenly brought in a whole lot of promise to the server and how this mini-game could be the biggest change for the server. Now I don't actually mean the game mode itself, even though it is tons of fun, but what I am talking about is the new additions it brings to the server. Here is a list of what I mean,

1. It was a community suggested game - As stated in the release thread, "The most frequently requested mini-game is out!" Thats right, the most REQUESTED mini-game. Something that members of the community have been begging for. Now this isn't the first time J&H have listened to the suggestions and it isn't even the first time they accepted a mini-game from the community (KitPVP), but with this addition it does give us reassurance that they are reading our suggestions and want to hear our opinions.

2. An In-Game Currency - This is by far the biggest thing Sky Wars brought to the server. For the first time ever a J&H mini-game has an in-game currency which can be used to buy cosmetics on the server. Now by playing and winning the game you can reward yourself by purchasing Cages, trails or Kits to enhance your experience on the server. Soft Currency is something that the J&H server has needed and with the addition to coins in Sky Wars it opens up a door for future mini-games.

3. A Join Sign - So this is another one that isn't only on Sky Wars (as it is also on Mine Fighter), but with the Auto-Join Sign place in the center of spawn it has made life a lot easier for players to find a match instantly and reduce the time they usually spend waiting for other players to join the game. The sign allows for you to join and play games even when there are only 20 people on the server which means people will be able to play continuously even during the less busy hours. This is another thing J&H have been missing out on but it seems like they have figured it out and hopefully it will increase the server population.

4. Normal vs. Insane Chest - When you first start a match on Sky Wars you are given the choice to vote between having Normal or Insane chest. Once again Sky Wars brings in this new thing to the J&H server by letting players vote and make decisions in a Mini-game and give them some power over how it will be played. I can't really think of any other mini-game on the J&H server that allows players to vote for something in such a manner so great job J&H with this other new feature.

All and all, Sky Wars to me seems like a mini-game you would find on a large scale server with 20,000 people on it. J&H did one hell of a job on this mini-game and thank you for listening to the community and their request!

 

Its a great addition you're completely right this doesn't just give the server any ordinary game it gives us a new community new people and most importantly new fun. Suggestions believe it or not are always being looked at but you need to know that not every suggestion can be taken into and applied therefore some suggestions need to be turned away even though it may be a community wanted thing, the server needs to do whats best for the server and its community and some of these suggestions wont really do much in terms of bringing the community and the server up. You are also right in terms that they did do hell of a job in my opinion this game is much better than the one in hypixel and the reason I say this is not because of the mode or the mini game itself but the people who play it are genuinely happy playing it because also like you said its a community wanted game. Jerry and harry also listen to the idea of adding a /duel system to kitpvp therefore its not as if they are ignoring us rather placing a time on when to add these additions or weighing out the pros and cons of every suggestion.

 

Totally agree. I believe this mini game will then lead to even more improvements to the server and other mini-games that can be improved or even help any future mini-games soon to be added. Looks like the server isn't dying after all :)
Hopefully the next mini-game added will be non-pvp... :\

 

How do I access it any use it? I've seen no mention of IN GAME currency.

 

Go to the Sky Wars server and in your inventory bar you should see an emerald. Click on that and you can buy stuff using coins you earn from winning games and getting kills, (Your coins should show up on the right side of your screen)

 

When you win matches/kill players you get in-game currency and there's a shop where you can buy things from, located in your hotbar, I believe

I think J&H switched up the store-coin thing. Honestly, it's a P2W situation because I need real money to buy kits. Also, kits aren't upgradeable. Can we make kita upgradeable and purchasable, and make trails & cells store-bought? Ty.

 

Although I am not an avid player of skywars from what I have seen and heard many people are loving the new game. This is exactly why I play jerryandharry because the community is listened to. I agree with this post and am very happy that this will being new people to the server and to the community so great job jerryandharry!
