As an update: Due to horrible temps, I will be purchasing the be quiet! Dark rock 4 BK021 as a CPU cooler. My main purchase for a CPU cooler was the Coolermaster LC240 which didn’t seem to have a huge affect on my temps. I switched to the stock cooler which came with the 2700x which is the wraith prism. The prism is actually a very decent cooler. But, with the Dark rock 4 I can get a decent amount of lowered temps and increased frames. Will post updates! Checkpoint #3! (also a double post will merge later) I received the Dark Rock 4 in mail today! I was excited up until the point I realized it doesn’t come with an AM4 chipset backplate. I should have researched it earlier and it’s my fault for being so clumsy. In worse news, I took off my other cooler before realizing there was no AM4 backplate for the new cooler. This means I can not play on my PC until my backplate comes because I don’t have enough thermal paste. Once I receive my backplate, I will install it and post updates on the temps.
