So happy this is right after I was unbanned :) Although, this definitely will stop people repetitively hacking on the server!

The examples you're naming were literally banned over 2.5 years ago. They would get unbanned regardless simply by making an appeal, as we have done with many toxic players in the past. The new system changes nothing.

seeing it like that, it makes sense and i have to say i kinda agree with the incentive now. don't really appreciate the way you responded to me though, i was calm and simply stated my opinions.
valentino was told to not appeal anymore, so "They would get unbanned simply by making an appeal" is wrong according to you guys last response.

No, if they pay for an unban they will still get banned if they hack... They won't tho, otherwise they wasted $25.

If we just unban him right now all you get is a hacker who's free to do what he wants. lol

Since when can someone actually buy an unban?

I was iffy with this system at first, specially due to it coming out of nowhere but now I'm intrigued as to how it may work now.
Bashing it right now isn't going to help, let's just see how it does for the first few weeks and go from there.

Maybe I can suggest something to this which many will probably disagree on. Why not do an unban all and if any of the players who were banned come back and continue to hack or whatever, they’ll just have to pay the consequences... litterally(no pun intended)

I don't want to cause anything, but shouldn't the unban price be a little lower?
I can understand that a ban is a ban and that's it, but it's a little too much just to get unbanned.

I think they should be invited to appeal, not just let back in with gates wide open all at once.

I'm curious to know at what point a player is blacklisted from further buying themselves out of bans, but I guess it's fine if that's staff-only info.

I agree with @Smg though. I feel really iffy about this new system, and I have some questions about why it was brought about that I think would be better off kept to myself. Nevertheless, I think it at least deserves a shot at being used.

One question I do have: what about false Anticheat bans? Has the Anticheat been loosened up further, or is it going to be banning people left and right? I'm worried about the AAC (as an automated system) handing out permanent bans on first perceived offense.

25$ is actually a really good price compared to some servers. I've seen servers selling unbans for 100$+.

The AAC ban will be reviewed if they appeal. If the ban was false, they will be unbanned just like it always has been. The Anti-Cheat is mostly accurate.

If the price were any lower, then a younger person with a minimum wage job and no real expenses could easily go on a ban & unban buying spree to fuck with the server. $25 makes it hurt just enough that such a spree wouldn't be worth it.

The main goal is to decrease/deter hackers. Not to get as many unbans as possible...
You can still ban appeal. It's not automatically a "Pay or leave!"

Also, the AAC is rarely wrong

So basically the appeals system has changed such that only appeals that either
    A. Plea innocent, or
    B. Plea guilty after 90 days
will be valid for any action of ban removal?

I have a question for the technicality of buying unbans:
Say someone gets banned on an IP. If someone who plays on the server on the same IP (and is innocent) purchases an unban, does everyone on the same IP also get unbanned, or is it just the player who purchases the unban?

In a hypothetical stance, say someone wants to actually play on the server, but their brother is a hacker. Their brother gets banned, so they get banned as well. The innocent person purchases an unban. Would their brother then get unbanned, opening the possibility of him hacking again, getting banned once again, and the innocent person wasting $25? Or would just the innocent player get unbanned?

When you purchase a ban all alternate accounts on the IP get unbanned also.
If you have that troublesome of a sibling i would recommend slapping them lul

We're leaving any sibling feuds to be self-regulated by them. It's the most common excuse we get, there is no way for us to be certain that someone actually has a hacking brother and isn't just lying, and we don't want to deal with it anymore. The innocent brother will just have to make sure the other brother doesn't hack again.
