In the past few months I have experienced a few health issues overall. From chest pain to oversleeping and overeating, I have been getting check ups but no definitive results. "Nothing is wrong".
Today, I had one of the worst days of my life.
At about 5am this morning I woke up to terrifying pain in my lower right abdomen spreading around to my back. My first instinct was that using the toilet may relieve the pain and pressure, but it didn't work. Being frightened and concerned, I had to wake up my dad for help. Sitting up and standing was the hardest thing for me to do. I constantly felt light-headed and was on the brink of fainting from the pain. Vomiting felt like an option but not something I needed to do.
My dad took me to the hospital and I was unable to feel comfortable. Sitting, lying on my back, stomach, side was not helping. I felt like someone stabbed me with a knife and they're just applying pressure to it. After panadol, endome, nurofen and other medication I can't remember the name of, I was relieved. However, it only lasted about 20-30 minutes and I vomited what I had in my body thanks to having medication without food.
The doctor wanted me to get an ultrasound. According to them my bladder has to be so full that it's uncomfortable. All I could think of was - MORE DISCOMFORT?!?!. They booked me in at 10:30 and I was full at 10:00. 10:30 came around and I was bursting and they hadn't taken me in yet. "DONT PEE DONT PEE" the nurses were saying. It was weird to hear someone discourage such a natural thing. Anyways, at 11:00 they took me in. My ovaries were fine. My bladder was full asf. I think every time he pushed a lil bit of pee came out LOL. My bowels had a lot of gas and so they couldn't see through to my appendix, which was annoying. And by this hour, the pain was not AS BAD as when I first arrived. I got sent back and had to repeat the medications. Vomited again to the point I was dry reaching because I literally had nothing left. Hours later, the doctors visited me and said it could've been a number of things - a small kidney stone may have passed through, I may have torn something in my sleep/could be muscular (given the back pain), or it may have been my appendix.
I had not eaten anything at this point as they were considering giving me surgery to remove my appendix. However, they wanted to be confident that my appendix was the problem - but they couldn't scan it due to my obstructing bowels. My pain intensified again but it was mainly in my back. I got the nurse to press the right side and it hurt. So, again, I was put on some heavy meds and went to sleep. I woke up feeling great. I was ready to eat and not vomit. They initially offered tuna sandwiches which I absolutely can not stand. Took them an hour to go to the cafe and get me a different filling...Eventually I went home fine.
I'm still scared to go to sleep tonight as I'm afraid it's going to happen again. I don't know exactly what happened to me. My blood and urine tests came back fine, and they couldn't find/specify any problems from the ultrasound.
Now, I've had two knee surgeries in my life and I would say they were the most painful experiences in my life. But after what I endured today, I've found a new winner for the worst pain. Not being able to find a position that's comfortable is the worst. You get really cold, dissy and lose balance from the pain. I'm happy I was brave and took it tough and didn't give in to the pain by fainting. They think that because my tests were done quite late, any noticeable issues may have already gone. If anything else develops from this, I'll let you know.
I'm not the best at describing things. It may not seem serious from my description, but I was in pain for 9 hours only being able to settle for a total of maybe 50 minutes.
I wonder, have any of you had a bad experience in hospital before or experienced terrible pain? Leave your stories below as I'm interested to read :)

one time when I was younger I was riding my bike down a steep hill in my neighborhood and I lost control of my bike cause I was zooming down it, and I proceeded to fling into a thorn bush then onto the pavement.

When I was a small kid I wasn't watching where I was riding my scooter, hit the gutter and went over the handlebars into rocks :,( A good-sized rock got stuck in my knee which was pleasant.
Ohhhhh my god. Why did you have to get your appendix removed?

I had a ski accident in Austria back in 2014. My uncle (who is a professional snowboarder) was with me and he took me to more difficult tracks than the rest of the people because they were too easy for me. He took me to a black marked track called 16-B, which was the hardest one in the entire ski site. It was incredibly steep and I couldn't see it from its start. There was more ice than snow and there were huge chunks of ice all over the track. Let's just say the conditions were shit.

I started skiing down, taking my time... And then I made a wrong turn and ski'd into a chunk of ice, which made one of my ski's fall off. I sat down on the snow, released my second ski (because I couldn't ski with one ski on that kind of track), pushed my skis down the mountain where my uncle was waiting for me, and started sliding down on my butt. I didn't realize how steep the track was so I tried to slow down with my feet instead of my hands, which made me fly forwards.

I was launched into the air, did a flip and crashed down on my chin. I was just laying there in insane pain, I saw my blood on the snow and felt like I was going to pass out. I couldn't make a sound and I couldn't move my body.

10 minutes later I managed to get up. The bottom of my face was injured but I didn't break anything. My uncle then took me to a restaurant on the mountain where I had the best pasta ever :)

I was riding an ATV by myself when I was 10 and I was going way too fast and I didn't pay attention to where I was going. The land I was riding on was all flat and had a path for whoever wanted to drive through the field, which I did not stay on. My grandpa had this trailer on the ground in the tall grass and I didn't see it. As I was going like 30 mph, I ran over the trailer and nearly fell off the vehicle and I was stuck on it. I managed to get myself out after like 10 minutes of trying. I go back to the house and I calmly (without showing any pain) asked my aunt (who was the only one home at the time) for her phone to call my mom and as soon as I went into my room I started crying and whatnot. I ended up fracturing my (right) middle finger and I couldn't write for school (even though it was the end of the year).

Another one would be during a school camping trip which was a 3 day overnight trip I was basically forced to go on (my parents were willing to waste over 200$ on this trip, which in fact they did). I have already explained this in multiple threads so I'll keep it short and sweet. We went deep into the woods to go see some waterfall and on our way back I tripped on a tree branch or something and ended up twisting my ankle. I couldn't just call my mom or anything because there was no service anywhere and once we got back to the campgrounds, we then had to walk another 6 miles, which started out blindfolded, and I couldn't even walk correctly.
My friend told me they were hosting the trip again this year and he told me I should go again, turns out that trip is now cancelled.

When I was 9 - 10, I was on the trampoline with my sister and we were just jumping about.
She went under the trampoline and came out so I did the same thing, except that she broke my right arm.
Good thing to know, that I'm actually left handed so great.

Almost drowning twice at Alton Towers, never went there after that.

And having a painful nosebleed at exactly 3:00am (devils hour).

    1. Was climbing on the outside of a treehouse (yes a great idea... ik) and a part of the wood outside broke off when I grabbed it and I fell to the ground. Broke my collarbone.
    2. Got a kidney infection in kindergarten and it hurt so bad I couldn't walk. I had to be transported via wheelchair and I also got to ride in an ambulance from one hospital to another (which as a kindergartner I thought it was cool).
    3. Slipped down the stairs and landed on my foot backwards. Had to go to the ER and got a splint for my ankle. Took a couple weeks to walk normally again.
    4. Got such a bad migraine I had to go to the ER. First they had to get an IV in me before they could inject medication... but they couldn't get the needle into my veins. After like 7 tries, they finally got one in. Had so many bruises after that.
